This easy 10-minute Kids Christmas Ornament activity is sponsored by Goldfish Brand, but the opinions are solely our own.
Every year, we make new Christmas ornaments to either share with friends and family or to hang on our Christmas Tree. The kids love this tradition, as it’s a means to be creative and have fun doing an activity together.
This year, I wanted to put together a simple Snack Filled kids Christmas Ornament as a fun activity that also includes a simple snack at the same time. I used our favorite Goldfish Crackers. It’s the number one snack cracker that my kids ask for consistently. So it was an obvious choice.
So if you are looking for a fun, yet very simple kids Christmas Ornament activity, look no further! This Snack Filled Kids Christmas ornament is so simple that even a toddler could help you create it!
Grab your favorite Goldfish Crackers variety. I wanted something fun and festive, so I used a mixture of the traditional Cheddar and Cheddar Colors crackers.
What makes the Goldfish Crackers so great for this activity is that it’s a snack that kids love, and they offer fun colors to really make the kids Christmas ornament stand out!
Speaking of colors, did you know that the Goldfish Crackers colors are sourced from plants, such as annatto extracted from the reddish seeds of the Achiote Tree? That’s right, no food dyes!
Having the colors sourced from plants is a big deal in our family since we have so many extended family members who are allergic to food dyes. It’s always exciting when we can find foods that are colored using only plant sources. It makes it a safe snack that we can share with our family.
Easy Goldfish Crackers Kids Christmas Ornaments
To make these easy kids Christmas ornaments, you only need a few supplies.
- Clear Plastic ball ornaments
- Christmas Ribbon
- Small Gift Tag label
- Goldfish Cheddar and Goldfish Cheddar Colors Crackers.
The only thing easier than gathering the supplies is simply putting them together.
You will want to handwash the ornaments in a mild dishwater and allow to thoroughly dry a day or two.
Once the ornaments are completely dry, you can gather your kids around and begin putting these simple kids Christmas ornaments together.
Remove the hook from the ornament. Then simply fill them with Goldfish Cheddar and Goldfish Cheddar Colors Crackers. Make it completely festive and only use the red and green crackers.
Or make it colorful and use all the crackers.
When the ornament is as full as you would like, replace the hook cap.
Tie a small ribbon around the top and attach a simple gift tag.
I found these adorable gift tag stickers in the scrapbooking section of my local craft store and I’ve been holding onto them for a fun simple activity to present itself. And they worked perfectly for this easy Kids Christmas Ornament craft.
Once they are complete, you can either hand them out as gifts for friends and neighbors or let your kids hang them on the Christmas Tree!
One fun part of this kid Christmas Ornament activity is that the kids can easily snack while they work!
And since the Goldfish crackers contain no artificial flavors or preservatives and are always baked with real cheese, you can feel great about letting your kids snack away as they work.
So gather your kids together for a super simple Kids Christmas Ornament activity.
