For as long as I can remember, my mom always made the same Slush party drink for our family New Years Eve parties. Every year we would have “Slush”, cheese balls and Ritz crackers. We’d stay up late playing card games, watching movies and then watch the “apple drop” on TV. After all these years, I still don’t know if it has an actual name other than “slush”; but all I know is that it is a family tradition I finally carried on to my own family this year, and it was quite enjoyable and like everything else I like to make, it is super easy!

Delicious Slush party Punch; Family Tradition Recipe, Alcohol Free

Slush Party Punch Ingredients:

1 3/4 C Orange Juice
1/4 C Lemon Juice
2 C Pineapple Juice
3 Mashed Banana’s
2 Cups Sugar
3 cups Water
Sprite/7-up/lemon Lime Soda

Sluch Party Punch Directions:

Heat water and dissolve sugar in the water. Remove from heat and add the remaining juices and mashed bananas. freeze in 9 X 13 pans or in 2 large loaf pans.

Just before your party/event, set out until a little mushy. Then mash in a large bowl until you get a smooth “slush” texture. Add as much soda as you’d like. More soda for a more carbonated and less thick effect. Serve with a ladle spoon. Serves approx 20-30. But if you are like us and will most likely be going back for 2nds, this is  great for a small family gathering. If you have a larger group, I’d recommend doubling or tripling the recipe.

My Aunt also likes to add raspberries to this, and it is delicious! You can also change the soda flavor for different flavors. We have some family members that aren’t very fond of bananas, so I remove the bananas from the recipe and it still turns out wonderful.
