I love to bake and make desserts, but let me tell you I’m not a fan of the constant meal prepping. Especially when you have picky eaters like my kids. It sort of takes the fun out of making dinner. Then add on daily life. Life is more hectic than it was when I was growing up. More places to be. More rush. Not as much time to play in the kitchen. So easy dinner recipes are a must in our modern family. But that doesn’t mean you have to skimp on flavor.

Easy Dinner Recipes for the family

When it comes to meal preparation I have three requirements:

  • Tastes good!
  • Kids will eat it
  • Easy to prepare without a lot of time

If the recipe fits; then it gets to stay in our family dinner recipe pile. For that reason I’ve started a collection. Finding various easy dinner recipes for families that can be made with minimal effort; but still taste fantastic! Plus if the kids will eat it; that’s always an added bonus!

Most of our recipes on JadeLouise Designs fits those criteria. Because let’s be honest; when would I have time to make anything that wasn’t easy?

My favorites include our Italian Baked Chicken with only 5 ingredients and made from FROZEN chicken, Homemade Spaghetti SaucePerfectly Spicy Steak, and of course a grilled Chicken Caesar salad!

In my hunt for more amazing and family friendly easy dinner recipes I found some goodies! You’ll have to visit my Easy Dinner Recipes for Families foodie collection board to see them all. But some highlights include an amazing One Pot meal Shrimp Boil, One Pan Baked Salmon and Veggies, and Lasagna with Italian Dumplings.

Each of these amazing recipes will hopefully be able to spice up your dinner menu planning for more great family dinners! Because family dinner is a great time to gather at the end of each day and reconnect. It should be a meal that is enjoyed, wholesome and create a family friendly setting to build relationships with each other.
