DIY Sparkling Juice with a SodaStream Machine
Step 1: You fill the carbonation bottle with regular tap water and carbonate the water with the SodaStream machine just as you are instructed in the SodaStream manual. I prefer a strong carbonation so I use about 4-5 bursts of carbonation.
Step 2: Take your favorite flavor of concentrated frozen, or a can of non frozen but still concentrated 100% fruit juice. If frozen you will want to thaw the juice before we proceed.
Step 3: Pour the juice concentrate into a water/juice pitcher and fill with 3 cans of the carbonated water instead of regular water. I found the regular SodaStream carbonation bottle makes 2 1/4 cans worth of carbonated water. If you want to make a new batch of carbonated water, go ahead and finish filling up the last can worth of water. I was lazy, and simply finished filling up that last can with regular cold water, and it still turned out fantastic!
Step 4: Gently Stir the carbonated water and juice concentrate together.
Step 5: Enjoy! And then after you are finished with the juice, you can still take advantage of SodaStream's hermetic seal caps-keeping your sparkling juice…well..Sparkling, for a longer period of time. Simply gently pour the remaining Sparkling Juice back into the SodaStream carbonation bottle, sealing with the cap and putting back into the fridge. It holds the juice just fine without damaging your machine, as long as you don't try to "re-fizz" the juice.
Why make your own Sparkling juice?
Not only will you save a LOT of money versus buying the expensive bottles of Sparkling Juice from the store, but you will also have the freedom to hand pick any flavor of Sparkling Juice you want. I really like the Apple Kiwi Strawberry, and you definitely have to try Orange with orange Concentrate! It brings back such wonderful memories of Germany and their fizzed orange juice!
What is YOUR favorite flavor of juice that you can't wait to turn into Sparkling Juice?

Now Ocean Spray is making a Cranberry juice concentrate for sodastream. It's $2 a bottle more than sodastream's regular concentrates, but that's mostly a convenience price.

I just bought my second one, the first broke after 2 years of pretty heavy use. Anyway, I was able to find a SodaStream Play, with bottle and carbonator for $29.00, lightly used on Ebay. I'm very happy with my purchase.
