Jamba Juice Recipes

It’s day 2 of #LoveWeek. Today’s Love recipe is inspired by these two goofballs.

Goofballs

As any parent, we couldn’t imagine our lives without these two. We struggled and prayed and worked for YEARS to get them to our family. They bring light to our lives and laughter to our hearts. And steam to our teapots, if you catch my drift, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Last Halloween we stopped by our local Jamba Juice because they were giving away free smoothies for kids. It was the first time they’d had a Jamba, and they were hooked. A few weeks ago my sister-in-law was having a rotten day, which was the culmination of a few weeks’ worth of rottenness. We got her a smoothie to cheer her up, and of course we had to get one to split.

Since then, they’ve asked every weekend if it’s time to go back to Jamba Juice. Sure, if I was made of money.

Jamba Juice Recipes

Fortunately, I have a secret weapon: Jamba Juice recipes! We made the Caribbean Passion, because that’s my favorite. I knew it was a success when my son took a drink and then shouted, “Mom! It tastes just like a Jamba Juice!”

All of the recipes are blend together until smooth.

CARIBBEAN PASSION
1 ½ cups Mango-passion juice
1 cup frozen strawberries
½ cup frozen peaches
1 cup orange sherbet
½ cup ice

MANGO-A-GO-GO
1 ½ cups Mango-passion juice
1 ½ cups frozen mangos
1 cup pineapple sherbet
½ cup ice

RAZMATAZ
1 ½ cups raspberry juice
1 cup frozen strawberries
½ cup frozen bananas
1 cup orange sherbet
½ cup ice

STRAWBERRIES WILD
12 oz. apple juice
2 scoops frozen strawberries
1 scoop frozen bananas
2 scoops frozen yogurt
1 scoop ice

The predominant flavor of your smoothie will be the juice you use. If you can’t find mango-passion juice, find a mango juice that you like.

I never buy frozen peaches, but I happened to have a can of peaches in my cupboard, so I froze half the can, enough to make about ½ cup of frozen peaches, and it worked perfectly.

You could easily make this lactose free by using sorbet instead of sherbet.

This is a great treat for people who don’t like chocolate or who want something a little lighter to cut through all the Valentine’s Day treats.

I love your site! I particularly love that you added smoothie recipes since buying them can be so pricey. I just have one question: When the strawberries wild recipe calls for 1 scoop, is that the same as a cup? Thanks! Keep rocking on!

These are tasty recipes. It always feels good when I give my kids a healthier version of a treat. They love green smoothies more than I do. Thanks for the new ideas.
