Nothing brings people together like a great movie experience. Movies give friends a reason to come together, connect and treat themselves.
I remember as a kid, my mom would let me invite a few close friends over for a movie party on special occasions. She’d get us a fun movie either from the movie rental store or let us pick something out from our movie collection.
She’d make us a special homemade popcorn treat and we’d even get a soda! That was a big luxury in our house!
Those movie parties are a memory I cherish from my childhood. And some of my friends still talk about those parties to this day! And they also are yet another reason why my mom is my own personal hero!
With the release of the Summer Blockbuster Wonder Woman in theaters June 2nd, now I get to share one of my favorite iconic heroes from my childhood with my own kids. We are anxiously awaiting the release so we can have a family movie party to introduce Wonder Woman to my own kids.

Dr Pepper Caramel Popcorn & Printable Bottle Wrappers
Whether you gather for a mini party before the movie or after, I have 2 things to make your movie party gathering be a hit! Dr Pepper Caramel Popcorn and Wonder Woman Inspired Crown Printable Bottle Wrappers! And they are super easy! You can make both ahead of time too, so it’s all ready to go the day of the movie!
Wonder Woman Inspired Crown Printable Bottle Wrappers
For the Wonder Woman Inspired Crown Printable Bottle Wrappers, you can do it with my original method or an extra easy method.
First, you need to Print out our Template.
Original Method: Cut out each pattern from the printable. There are 3 per page, so your kids can help you out to make it go faster. Use the pattern to cut out a crown template on bright yellow cardstock. Punch out a Star using a 1.5-inch star punch on bright red cardstock. Then tape the star in the center of the yellow crown. Wrap it around the Dr Pepper can or bottle.
Extra Easy Method: The extra easy method is simply printing the printable in color onto cardstock, cutting it out and taping it onto the Dr Pepper can or bottle.
The difference will simply be due to the quality of your color printing and the fact that the star may not stand out as much with the extra easy method. But hey, it’s EASY. It may not really matter.
Either way, you choose, it will work great.
And the great thing is that the Wonder Woman Inspired Crown Printable Bottle Wrappers fits both the Dr Pepper cans and the 20 oz bottles!
Now let’s get to a delicious treat that is great for any movie night! Or you can even make it for Mother’s Day for that wonderful woman in your life! A mouthwatering Dr Pepper Caramel Popcorn!
Easy Dr Pepper Caramel Popcorn Recipe
The first step is that we have to create a Dr Pepper syrup to flavor the caramel popcorn. This is the exact same method we used when we made our Caramel Apple Popcorn Balls. But instead of Apple Juice, we are using Dr Pepper! That and we are making about half the recipe size.
Simmer the Dr Pepper on medium heat until it is reduced to about 1/4 cup.
Then combine the Dr Pepper syrup, butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, sweetened condensed milk, and sea salt into a saucepan and cook until soft ball stage.
In the meantime pop a bag of Orville Redenbacher’s® popcorn in your choice of flavor and sift out the unpopped kernels.
Drizzle the caramel sauce over the popped popcorn.
Then gently fold until all the popcorn is covered in the caramel sauce.
Dish up into individual serving cups and enjoy!
And pair with a cold can of Dr Pepper with the Wonder Woman inspired Crown Printable Bottle Wrapper!
It’s sure to be a hit!

I really like your popcorn recipe, but boiling the Dr Pepper for an hour and a half calls for more patience than I have.
Thursday 25th of May 2017
The boiling it down time is an estimate. It really depends on the environment. Sometimes it takes the full 1.5 hours. But sometimes it has only taken 45 minutes to get the Dr Pepper boiled down to the syrup level. I usually multi-task while it is boiling so I don't have to worry about having patience. So while it is boiling, I'm popping the popcorn, and sifting out the kernels. Gathering up all the ingredients and measuring them out so all it ready to go once the syrup is ready. By the time everything else is ready to go, usually, the Dr Pepper is boiled down and ready to go as well.
