By now it should be no secret that I love to bake! I love sweets. And baking sweets is actually quite a lot of fun.
A few weeks ago our neighborhood had a soup cook off and my neighbor Jeri brought these amazing dessert bars! Oh my goodness they were heavenly. She was gracious enough to give me the recipe. They were called butter bars. Oh my, they were amazing!
So I had a plan to make some up this last week. But life got hectic as it always does and I ended up making the chocolate coconut cream pie instead. Which was amazing and was eaten far too quickly. So a few days later I was left with a major chocolate craving.
So I figured, I already had everything on hand for butter bars, why not just alter the recipe a bit for a chocolate craving? Thus the thought of making Nutella Butter bars.
Plus I had just gotten an amazing Cuina Kitchen Nonstick Silicone Baking Mat. I have wanted one of these for months and months. I keep hearing all my baking friends talk about how much they love theirs. So I figured to give it ago.

Now, my Cuina Kitchen Nonstick Silicone Baking Mat is slightly bigger than my 9×13 pan, so I just had it fit as close as possible. It still beats having to grease the pan or using parchment paper!
Then it also made removing the entire Nutella butter bars from the pan a lot easier. Just make sure it is all thoroughly cooled.
Also make sure you don’t do any cutting on the silicone baking mat. It can damage the mat. Remove the goods before cutting. Thankfully the Nutella butter bars didn’t need cutting really. Slight pressure with a spatula and it is easy to portion into little bars. And I was truly impressed because even though this recipe is super gooey and sticky; the Nutella butter bars didn’t stick to the Cuina Silicone baking mat at all! They were super easy to remove.
And the Cuina Silicone baking mat is also very easy to clean. No more scrubbing the baking sheets. In fact my baking sheets and 9X13 baking dish didn’t even look dirty afterwards! And the silicone baking mat is really easy to clean, just simply wipe them off using warm water and dish soap, and rinse. Then hang to dry.
Cuina Silicone Baking Mats are oven and microwave safe, and can also be used in your refrigerator and freezer! Cuina Silicone Baking Mats can be used at temperatures from -40 degrees F all the way up to 480 degrees F (-40 degrees C to 250 degrees C). They are perfect for baked and frozen recipes as well as chilling cooked foods.
The Cuina Kitchen Nonstick Silicone Baking Mat is also great for cooking up
- Cookies
- Cream puffs
- crescents
- cinnamon rolls
- dinner rolls
- basically any baked good.
- Freezing fruit (no more berries stuck to the pan and no more need to peal parchment paper off frozen fruit!)
- Even as a craft mat! No kidding my friend Holly from BowGiggles said she uses hers for crafting because the cooled hot glue peals right off. Who would have thought right?
You can use your new silicone baking mat for just about any baked goodies. You no longer have to grease pans or use parchment paper! What a lot of savings! Plus our goodies always bake up even on the silicone baking mat.
So I figured, why not give you a lot of options to put your own Cuina Kitchen Nonstick Silicone Baking Mat to the test! Try it out with all these amazing cookie recipes from some of my favorite bloggers, plus a few of my favorite cookie recipes we’ve posted.
