Celebrate the luck of the Irish with these with these insanely easy Saint Patrick Day Dinner ideas! Minimal effort on your part, while still indulging your family with a fun Leprechaun dinner.
If you are one of our regular readers, you know I’ve been down and out with a lung inflammation. But I still have to feed my family. And just because I need easy, doesn’t mean my family has to suffer. So I thought I’d show how you can still throw together an insanely easy Saint Patrick’s Day themed family dinner with minimal time and effort.
The star of these Saint Patrick’s Day dinner ideas is Cooked Perfect® Fire Grilled Chicken. While the Irish Traditionally eat lamb, it is rather difficult to find and still takes a lot of effort to cook.
Instead, I went with something really easy for the main dish of the dinner, that still packs great flavor.
You can easily find Cooked Perfect Fire Grilled Chicken in the freezer section of your local grocery store. I’m even luckier because my store offers online ordering, so I had the husband stop by and pick up the groceries on his way home from the store.
Cooked Perfect Fire Grilled Chicken is flavorful, convenient and meant to be served as-is, with delicious sides.
Because Cooked Perfect Fire Grilled Chicken is so easy to cook up, that leaves plenty of time to add fun side dishes that really bring the fun to the table.
How to make an insanely Easy Saint Patrick’s Day Dinner
I first started by mixing up an easy Irish Soda Bread. I love this bread because it is so stinking easy to make! Only 5 minutes to mix up the dough and then it simply bakes. No need to prove the dough!
Not to mention my easy Irish soda bread recipe is an authentic Irish staple. You can make it authentic style, or try some of the sweet or savory add-in ideas I share.

While the Irish Soda bread is baking, you can add some leprechaun magic to your family dinner table with a pot of gold at the end of a fruit rainbow.
My kids love fresh fruit. Plus, it doesn’t get any easier than putting out some fresh fruit for a great side dish on Saint Patrick’s Day.
To make it really fun, lay out a spread of colorful fruits such as strawberries, mandarin oranges, grapes, and blueberries in the shape of a rainbow on a serving platter.
Add a small pile of mini marshmallows at one end of the rainbow for a fluffy cloud.
And finish it off with a cauldron full of gold wrapped chocolate caramel candies at the other end of the fruit rainbow.
If you have time and energy you can also add a side dish of traditional Irish Mashers. Our family absolutely loves Mashers (mashed potatoes). But sadly this year, with my health limitations, I couldn’t pull it off.
When the Irish Soda Bread only has about 15-18 minutes left to bake, it’s time to warm the Cooked Perfect Fire Grilled Chicken.
To please all kinds of families, Cooked Perfect Fire Grilled Chicken comes in a variety of flavors including:
- Bourbon BBQ
- Buffalo Ranch
- Wildflower Honey BBQ
- Lemon Herb
- Zesty Herbs and Spice
- Korean BBQ
- Classic Style
You can also find Cooked Perfect Fire Grilled Chicken in a variety of convenient cuts like wings, drumsticks, boneless & bone-in thighs, tenders, and chunks.
My family especially loves the chunks in both the Buffalo Ranch and Bourbon BBQ flavors. I personally love the Classic Style thighs.
You can easily heat up the Cooked Perfect Fire Grilled Chicken in the oven, microwave, or even the toaster oven – just follow package instructions! So, while our Irish soda bread is in the oven, I put a variety of Cooked Perfect Fire Grilled Chicken into our toaster oven since they had similar cook times.
Once the Cooked Perfect Fire Grilled Chicken is heated, dish it up into a Saint Patrick Day themed serving platter.
Arrange it on the table with the fruit rainbow and pot of gold, plus the Irish soda bread and mashers if you have them.
Now stand back and watch the food disappear before your eyes!
Not even kidding, my boys were constantly trying to pinch the Cooked Perfect Fire Grilled Chicken every time I had my back turned.
The only bit that isn’t lucky is that we didn’t have any leftovers! My family devoured the entire meal.
With more weeks coming up with me still on bedrest orders, I’m so grateful I found Cooked Perfect Fire Grilled Chicken! It’s a family meal I can easily cook up even when I’m down. And the entire family loves the flavors. In fact, my boys have been asking when we can have it again!
Fear, not boys! We’ll be enjoying Cooked Perfect Fire Grilled Chicken with Irish Soda bread again, very very soon!
