Who is tired of scrubbing? Let water do the hard work for you! Clean almost anything outdoors with efficiency and speed. Discover 20 ways how to use a pressure washer and 5 reasons why you need a WORX Hydroshot.
Even though Summer is coming to a close, there is still plenty of yard work to be done. Especially prepping the yard for Autumn. One can get really overwhelmed by all there is to do. But with the right tools, it can make all that work much easier.
WORX recently sent me a Hydroshot to put to the test. It’s been so useful for helping me to get the yucky jobs completed in less time. Let me tell you what I discovered.
5 Reasons you need a WORX Hydroshot Power Cleaner
One of the tools that I am really loving right now is the WORX HYDROSHOT PORTABLE POWER CLEANER.
I’ve wanted a power cleaner for quite a few years. But we honestly didn’t know where to store those big ones. And the tasks I’d use it for the most are not in easy reach of the outdoor faucets.
Not to mention that the power outlets in our house are in the worst locations. I’d need multiple outdoor extension cords just to get power to a regular pressure washer.
That is why I really like the WORX Hydroshot power cleaner. It fits the bill of what I need, in a convenient size.
So why should you consider the WORX Hydroshot pressure washer for a portable power cleaner?
I can give you 5 reasons why off the top of my head.
1: Portable: The WORX Hydroshot power cleaner is portable. Meaning, I’m not tied down to my garden hose. Instead, it uses a simple bucket of water that you can carry to your location. No need to stretch hoses all over the yard, driveway, and Timbuktu.
The WORX Hydroshot pressure washer is also very lightweight. At only 3.7 LBS, I can go all over my yard, without breaking my back or overwhelming my knees. I can even work it one-handed!
There is also a cool bottle cap connector attachment in the value bundle, that lets you connect to a water bottle if you want to make it even more portable.
And if you are adventurous, the WORX Hydroshot can use water from any fresh water source, making it perfect for those that like to live life outdoors.
Have a pool? Yes, it can use that water.
Out camping and need to wash off the tent or trailer? You can use the stream/river as a water source.
Out enjoying a day at the lake? You can even use the lake water to wash off floating tubes, boats, and even sandy shoes before you pack up.
Can you imagine trying to pack up and use those larger pressure washers for a day out living life?
2: Rechargeable battery: Along with being extremely versatile on the water source, the WORX Hydroshot runs off a 20V Max rechargeable battery. That means you don’t have to be tied down to power chords either. Which helps you be even more portable!
Going to be hiking in the National Parks? You can bring along the WORX Hydroshot power washer to wash off picnic tables before you sit in bird excrement.
The other great thing about the rechargeable battery is that it is compatible with other WORX products. Which really helps cut down on time when your battery runs out. Now you can just grab another battery from your other WORX yard tools and keep going. No need to sit and wait for your battery to recharge.
3: Use less water: Speaking of saving, did you know that when you use a pressure washer, you actually use less water? That’s because you are letting water pressure do the hard work for you, not the water quantity.
The design of the long cleaning lance allows it to produce up to 320psi of pressure. Which means you don’t need more water to get the power to spray off the yard furniture. It does it all for you with LESS water!
Plus the long cleaning lance helps you direct water exactly where you need it, and not on you or the window next door that you just finished washing.
The regular watering lance delivers a gentle 94psi spray which is perfect for watering plants and flowers without damage.
No more need to trip over the hose, fighting with kinks in the hose, and getting too much water that drowns your plants.
You can choose between two different power settings. Use High for more pressure and low for tasks that need less pressure.
4: Save Space: So how much extra space do you have in your garage? Do you have a lot of extra space to store lots of big, bulky yard tools?
While technically we do have the room, the husband hates when our garage gets cluttered, because he likes to call that HIS domain.
He does a lot of work out in the garage, and it is also his workout zone. So he needs room to do projects or just work out with his weights.
The WORX Hydroshot pressure water is very easy to store. Because of its portable size, it is easy to store in the included carry bag. Then simply place it on a shelf. That’s it. All done.
Fanominal Cosmic Power…Itty Bitty Living Space.
This also improves the portability of the Hydroshot pressure washer. Can you imagine lugging around those large pressure washers in your vehicle when going on outings? The Hydroshot takes up very little room.
The Carry bag can also fit all the accessories, so you don’t have to worry about lost or missing parts.
5: Multiple Jobs with one tool: The other reason why I love the WORX Hydroshot pressure washer is its usefulness. Unlike other tools that are decided for one specific task, the WORX Hydroshot power cleaner can help you tackle a long list of tasks.
That means less clutter in the garage. And I don’t have to constantly change out tools.

How to use the WORX Hydroshot pressure washer to clean the Lawn Mower
One of my favorite uses for the WORX Hydroshot is cleaning our lawn mower.
Did you know that if you don’t clean out the undercarriage, it builds up mounds of grass and then performs less efficiently?
It’s always important to clean out the undercarriage at least once a year (preferably before storing for the winter).
When I was a kid, my mom actually had us clean the mower every few weeks. And let me tell you, that was a big task that I hated immensely.
We only had a typical hose with a garden sprayer. So we had to scrape off as much of the grass as I could first. Then spray it down with the garden sprayer. And then scrape off even more. And on and on it went until it was finally clean.
It took about an hour or more sometimes.
But now that we’re almost ready to put the lawn mover away – I decided it definitely could use a good clean.
We haven’t cleaned our lawn mower since we bought it a couple years ago.
I do NOT recommend following in our example in leaving it so long!
Can you see how this would hinder the mower in performing at it’s best?
Tip the mower up (place something on the handle to hold it up) or onto its side to gain access to the undercarriage. You’ll want to do this on your patio/sidewalk/driveway or weed pile, in case gasoline leaks out, so you don’t kill your grass.
Turn the power cleaner power on HIGH, with a setting at 15 degree spray. you can also use a 0 degree spray for really difficult spots. Spray out the lawn mower undercarriage.
Work from the sides of the clumps to get the water stream under the edges. Then slowly work around until the clumps begin to fall off. You may need to attach the grass clumps from different angles.
In about 20 minutes, I had our lawnmower undercarriage cleaned out.
Set the lawn mower upright, and finish spraying off the top of the mower. Be careful not to spray into the engine. Allow to drip dry a few minutes before putting away.
Pretty amazing difference, right?
To finish up, use the WORX Hydroshot power washer to clean up all the grass clipping from your patio.
