Warm up right with Starbucks Hot Cocoa K-cups

“This post was sponsored by Starbucks as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central. I received compensation and complimentary products to facilitate my review.”

So, here in the Arctic North (aka Idaho), winter loves to hang around. It’s comes and stays and stays and stays. And quite frankly, after about five months, I’m ready to kick it to the curb.

There are definitely things about winter that I love. I love watching snow fall. I love white Christmases! Driving around looking at Christmas lights wouldn’t be the same without a blanket of white. We love sledding and building snowmen.

    Enjoying the snow

We get a lot of snow around these parts. And that means a lot of shoveling –

    Snow, snow, snow!

And snowball fights and general tomfoolery.

    Playing in the snow

But what happens after we’ve been out shoveling or rolling in the snow?

We want a hot cup of cocoa. In fact, the very second I hear my kids come in from outside, I always know what they’ll say.

“Mom? Can I have some hot cocoa?”

Sometimes I’m ready for them and I have water heating on the stove. Sometimes I can get out a mug and microwave the water. And sometimes I’m in a hurry and just put water in the cup, throw in some mix and stir.

My kids come to associate hot cocoa with comfort. When I first started having chronic headaches, they decided one morning to make me hot cocoa so I’d feel better.

It really was the thought that counted. 🙂

Luckily for this hot cocoa loving family, Starbucks now has made my life so much easier!

Mmm, that looks really good! My kids really like hot cocoa, so I will have to get some of those for them to try. Thanks for the review. It was very well written.
