You probably are getting tired of hearing that you need to drink more water right? I know I am. But the problem is that it isn’t something that is going to go away. The reason is because water is so crucial to our health, body and quality of living. We can’t survive without water.
Did you know that 75% of Americans experience dehydration on a daily basis? It is the #1 cause of midday fatigue and can result in up to a 30% decrease in productivity. What would you be able to accomplish if you were more hydrated and had more energy in the afternoon? A lot I’d wager.
So if you are like me and know you need to drink more water, but struggle getting in enough; we have some tips to help you drink more water!
How to drink more water
Measure the water out for the day and store in the fridge. Now you know exactly how much you need to finish before the day is out. You can track it and make sure you are getting enough.
Break up the water throughout the day. This is crucial if you don’t want to be spending the entire day running to the bathroom on emergency bladder relief episodes. Portion your water out and drink at equal quantities at equal times of the day. I use my water bottles and say I need to have this bottle gone by such and such a time each day. Then refill and continue on through my day.
Drink water with meals. This will also help you eat less and feel fuller. Great for those looking to lose some weight.
Exercise! Nothing gets me more thirsty for WATER than exercising. And I always have a water bottle with me as I workout. I find I can usually get in twice as much water if I exercise than on days I don’t.
Cut out sugar drinks. This one is hard for me. I love my Dr Pepper! But the more soda or juice or other non water drinks you drink, the harder it will be for you to drink water. You will already be full of the other liquids.
Optimize Hydration with DripDrop.
DripDrop is a powdered drink that was developed by a Mayo-trained family physician. It treats and prevents dehydration in adults and children. DripDrop has been shown in a clinical study to hydrate 34% faster than water alone, and 20% faster than a sports drink.
You can easily use DripDrop to keep you and your kids hydrated. Simply mix a packet of DripDrop into your water, and you’re all set.
Plus it gives a fun flavor to your water that makes drinking it a lot easier. It’s not like another glass of boring water when you feel waterlogged already. No, it actually tastes great. So it also helps when you are craving those sugar drinks I told you to stop drinking. 🙂 DripDrop comes in 2 flavors; Lemon and Berry.
And kids love DripDrop too! Jade offered us a taste test. I offered her a cup of Lemonade and a cup of DripDrop. She tasted both and chose to drink the DripDrop water as her beverage of choice! Now that is great news for Parents who want to see their kids drink more water!

I know I fall into that daily dehydration category. I get fatigue, headache, and fog almost every late afternoon. My husband and I were listening to a podcast just the other day about the importance of staying hydrated. I'll have to check these out. They'd probably be great at motivating me to drink more.

This sounds exactly like what my mom needs. She doesn't like plain water and she is so dry. Her skin needs water. I'm going to show her this.
