Father’s Day is fast approaching. Do you know what you are going to do for your Dad or Husband this Father’s Day? Why not give them a special grilled dinner. I mean, everything is better grilled right? Summer grilling is always a favorite for all the men in my life. Since we have a tradition of spending Sunday dinner at the in-laws, I wanted to do a special summer grilling Father’s Day dinner for the husband of my own. So this week we had an early Father’s Day dinner. And what guy doesn’t love Tyson Buffalo Style Chicken Wings?
Celebrating Father’s Day with Summer grilling favorites
I’ve mentioned before, the husband used to be in the US Army. He was a Military Police officer. For the first two years of service he was away from the family. He sacrificed so much to serve our Country, protect and provide for our family. And even when the military allowed him to “be home” he still wasn’t home. He often had to go off to training, or work his long shifts. But when he was actually physically in our home, he made a conscious effort to be there for us all.
When he finished his career in the military he decided he wanted to finish his engineering degree. And this degree program seriously believes in having 2 hours of homework for every hour spent in class. So again, the husband is often gone all day and long into the night working hard. He sacrifices so he can better provide for our family when he graduates.
But through all of this, he has made special efforts that when he is actually home, he is actually HERE. Know what I mean? He spends time with the kids, and special attention to us all. He loves horsing around with the boys and cuddling his baby girl.
Why wouldn’t I want to celebrate and honor a man who works so hard for our family? And the best thing I can do for him is create him a meal he can really enjoy. Because as they always say
“A way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”.
My Husband is absolutely obsessed with Tyson Buffalo Style Chicken Wings. And the hotter the better! So I decided he was going to get a special dinner of buffalo wings just for him. Why not utilize Tyson and their Buffalo Style Chicken Wings? They are Wholesome, practical, lively, active, fresh, and fun. They are the perfect item to serve on the grill. I wanted everything to be to his specifications. I asked him “What goes well with Buffalo Wings?”
His response? “More Buffalo Wings!”
Ha! Seriously it took forever for him to decide on something he’d like with the buffalo wings. All he could think about were those wings! But finally, with some help from his engineering study group (who are all super jealous of him this week) they brain stormed they’d love Jalapeno poppers, Mozzarella Sticks, marinara sauce and grilled corn on the cob. Plus a deluxe Dark Chocolate brownie for dessert.
So off I went shopping at Sam’s Club to get the best deal on all these delicacies. You can check out all the great deals from our Google + Shopping trip album.
Sam’s Clubs nationwide have regularly scheduled demos and the buffalo Style Chicken wings are on the schedule. So be on the look out for Tyson demos at your local Sam’s Club!
Summer grilling Tyson Buffalo Style Chicken Wings
We all think to cook hot wings for Game Day or as party appetizers, but really can you think of a guy who wouldn’t love them all year long? Most think to cook them in the oven or in a pan, but why not on the grill? Everything tastes better on the grill! Plus it is a simple meal solution for Mom, as they are super easy to cook on the grill with very little clean up!
And since I’m already grilling the Tyson Buffalo Style Chicken wings, and the corn on the cob, why not grill everything else? We grill all the time and since have worn out the flame shield so I just added a layer of aluminum foil to the grill to minimize the hot spots and keep the food from burning on them.
To start you want to soak the corn on the cob (still in the husks) in cold salt water for at least 15 minutes. Then simply grill them still in the husks, turning every few minutes to ensure even cooking.
We also placed the Tyson Buffalo Wings straight on the grill, still frozen. And they cooked right up. We added the Mozzarella Sticks and Jalapeno poppers to the grill too.
You want to turn the mozzarella sticks and Poppers more frequently than the Buffalo wings and the Corn. And eventually you will want to move them to the top rack if you have one. To help keep them warm but not over cook them in the high heat of the main grill.
Summer grilling really is made simple with Tyson’s Buffalo Style chicken wings. They are super easy to cook up. And since they are already fully cooked, you simply have to cook them until they are heated. Once they are warm and the corn is done, dinner is ready. Seriously don’t you just love how easy this fantastic dinner is?
And check out the clean up! I just fold up the aluminum foil into the trash and wash the grilling tongs and the dishes we ate off of! So easy! But let me tell you, the husband was in heaven tonight!
He’s such a goof ball when I pull out the camera. But after his first bite the very next thing I hear is “oh! That is so good!” and he stopped talking and just devoured his Buffalo Style chicken wings!
We enjoyed a nice family dinner in camping chairs in the back yard, as it was so hot in the house today. It was a nice relaxing meal that everyone enjoyed. And the husband felt so spoiled! A special meal of his favorites just for him! What guy wouldn’t love this for Father’s Day? And guess what? I did all the grilling. So he didn’t have to do any work! He just got to take that time and play with the kids! He loved our special Early Father’s Day #MealsTogether celebration.
