Celebrating The Special Moments at Lobsterfest

One of the first anniversary dinners the husband took me out, was to Red Lobster. I still remember it to this day. It wasn’t our FIRST anniversary, But it was still very near the beginning of our marriage.

He had saved up because we were “poor college students” at the time. We got dressed up, me in a fancy dress and him in a suit. And he took me out for a fancy surprise. I had never been to Red Lobster before. And it was truly #Lobsterworthy and a night I cherished.

Fast forward a good 12-13 years, 4 moves, 4 kids, 1 dog, and 1 cat later, we found ourselves in an event that I felt was worthy of celebrating. The husband received a rather nice promotion at work.

Enjoy the Sweet Moments at Lobsterfest

I didn’t want to just take him to any old place. I wanted it to be something special. I mean, it’s Lobsterworthy! It’s BIG!

So I took him somewhere that has fond memories for me. Somewhere very special. I took him back to Red Lobster.

This time, the husband didn’t want to go fancy. But he did want to enjoy Red Lobster with plenty of time without feeling rushed and without the crowds of people. So we planned to go for an early lunch to our local Red Lobster over in Layton, Utah.

Being the middle of the day we had a quiet sitting area where we could just relax in peace and enjoy a casual dining experience with great food and reminisce about our first time enjoying Red Lobster from over 13 years ago.

Our server Ashley was so awesome. She let us know about Lobsterfest (only the greatest event celebrating all things lobster EVER!!!)

It’s back at Red Lobster right now, but only for a limited time!

She helped us locate the special Lobsterfest menu items. She was also very attentive through our entire meal and never let us want for anything.

There are so many amazing Menu options to choose from for Lobsterfest. Choices like

• Lobster Lover’s Dream – A succulent roasted rock lobster tail AND sweet split Maine lobster tail, steamed and served with Lobster-and-Shrimp Linguine Alfredo
• NEW! Lobster Mix and Match – two lobster tails from four choices to create their own entrée, including: Creamy Shrimp-Topped Lobster Tail, Seafood-Stuffed Lobster Tail, Steamed Maine Lobster Tail, or Grilled Maine Lobster Tail
• NEW! Lobsterfest Surf & Turf – split Maine lobster tail baked with Red Lobster’s signature seafood stuffing AND wood-grilled sirloin topped with shrimp in a lobster cream sauce

And, those were just the first three choices we saw and were already excited to dig in! I mean YUM!

Lobsterfest 2017 is better than ever before! It includes 5 favorite lobster Entrees but it also includes four brand new entrées. It also includes new appetizers, drinks. and desserts to complement guests’ meals. Also if you like drinks, the NEW! Island Lobster Punch and the NEW! Lobsterfest® Fizz are served in the collectible Coastal glassware which is yours to keep while supplies last. Don’t worry if you don’t drink alcohol like us, they will definitely make you an alcohol-free option if you ask.

Now, I was smart! I got online, and planned ahead so I knew what I was going to order before we even arrived. But it was a hard choice for the husband because I surprised him and there are so many delicious options. He wanted to try them all!

He ended up picking the same dish because he couldn’t get over how amazing the Lobesterfest Surf & Turf sounded after I said that is what I was getting.

As we enjoyed our meal, We talked a little about his work. A little of my work. A little about the kids. And a lot about us.

We laughed over Rose’s silly antics of devouring the bits of food from off our plates. She was our “3rd wheel” date. Since it was the middle of the day, no babysitters were available. But we didn’t mind, as she is usually quite entertaining and humorous when we go out to eat. And she did NOT disappoint!

She whole heartily gave her happy approval of the steak, shrimp, lobster tail, and mashed potatoes!

And we all “hmm’d” and “ahhh’d” over each bite.

I mean, how can you not when they cook your steak to perfection? I mean look at that perfect medium rare steak! That is a big deal for the husband, when they can cook the steak just to his liking!

And the sauce on top of the steak with the shrimp. Oh, my goodness, the husband and I couldn’t stop talking about it for hours after our lunch. It is truly memorable.

The Lobster tail was just as good as I remember it being from our first Lobsterworthy dining experience years ago!

We rounded off our afternoon with sharing a dish of the NEW! Bananas Foster Cheesecake. Talk about heavenly! Seriously, I want to go back just for the cheesecake! I can’t get that off my mind!

Imagine, two slices of caramel cheesecake topped with warm, freshly sliced bananas, caramel, and spiced rum and served with vanilla ice cream and candied pecans!

Can you say DELICIOUSLY DIVINE?

As we took our last few savoring bites, it was almost a sad moment. I didn’t want our celebration to come to an end. It was so nice to just be together, enjoying conversation and great food in a place that holds cherished memories.

Thankfully we don’t have to wait years to create more memories. We have many Lobsterworthy moments each year and a Red Lobster close enough we can celebrate them easily! We will definitely return and celebrate again!
