Summer fun is full of great foods. But let’s leave the mess at home! See our mess free snacks for kids in this sponsored post for Socialstars with Jif™Bars. #TeamJif
Summer is sadly coming to a close, with school starting soon. But we won’t give up hope yet! We still have time to bask in the sun a few more times before we say goodbye to carefree days of summer fun. And we plan to take advantage of that. One of our favorite Summer activities is going to the park. But as always, our kids get hungry within 5 minutes of playing. We don’t want to cut our time short, so we always bring mess free snacks for kids.
Mess Free playground snacks for kids
As you all know, we are expecting our 4th child. And this has been the worst pregnancy. So if ever I can make things easier for us, I go for it. And yes that especially includes the snacks for kids!
So for us, when we take snacks on the go they have to be easy, filling, great tasting, and most importantly mess free! I don’t want something that is going to melt in our hot car. I also don’t want something that will leave a lot of crumbs or sticky fingers behind.
So I have a system in place when it comes to prepping for an impromptu trip to the park. It goes like this..
- Grab a juice pack or Water bottle for each kid
- Grab a Jif™ Bars for each kid
- Grab a string cheese for each kid
- grab a small tupperware of fruit
Place items in an easy to carry bag or basket and pile everyone into the car!
That’s it. See, I told you it was easy. This pregnant mama loves easy.
The great thing is that it’s mess free! And filling. And the kids love the snacks. It gives a great variety and they are always satisfied.
The new Jif Bars are one of my favorite new additions to our playground snacks for kids. They are made with the Jif peanut butter we love combined with a chewy granola bar!
Which pleases the kids and helps to curb their constant kid hunger so they can get back to playing on the playground.
Plus the Jif Bars don’t melt and cause a big issue with messy fingers, or smeared mess in our new van. And I don’t have to go around picking up crumbs either. Just dump the left over wrapper trash into the playground trash can and we are done.
The kids get a great snack and run back to playing on the playground. This mama feels happy that I was able to provide something fun for them with an easy trip to the park. And I don’t have to listen to whining kids that they are hungry! Plus then I can sit and enjoy watching them play instead of spending my time cleaning up the snack time mess.
