Sometimes it is the simple toys that can bring the most joy! You don’t always have to have the latest electronic gadget to get hours of fun! I want to show you a simple Sky Scraper toy that my boys played with this last week. It may help you find fantastic, battery free toys to spark your child’s imagination!
Aeromax New World Toys introduces the Sky Scraper
What if I told you that with a simple hand held device you could shoot a propeller up to a 100 feet into the air and your kids would be completely fascinated with it! It would entertain them and you for hours! Would you believe it? Well; believe it! This last week we played with Aeromax’s Sky Scraper toy and it did just that!
I love how simple this toy is! It requires zero assembly! It is so simple it only requires two simple photos on the back of the package for instructions on how to use the toy! And let me just say it really does work! Unlike similar toys we have found at the Dollar store; this toy actually shoots the propellers high into the air. And it doesn’t break the first few times you pull the string! Major bonus!
You need to make sure the kids point the top away from people, including themselves. The last thing you want is that propeller shooting off and smacking someone in the face. I was the first one to try it and boy was I surprised at how fast it shot off the Sky Scraper. And boy, it does go high. It hit our ceiling in less than a second of it taking off. So; we learned we needed more height. So we moved to the bottom of our staircase. That gives us the height of the entire staircase plus the height of our kitchen. Our staircase is an open staircase so it works well for this. But even then it would shoot up and smack the ceiling in less than a second of the string being pulled. We need more space. We learned quickly this is not an inside toy. Haha! But it was sure fun trying.
And the propeller shoots off the Sky Scraper so fast that I had a very hard time capturing it on camera. I even tried video recording it and it still couldn’t catch the propeller shooting off the Sky Scraper.
So we took the Sky Scraper outside into our back yard. And what we found; we still need more room. It shot so high into the air and then on its way down would spin and pitch in the air and ended up multiple times in the neighbor’s yard, in the street on the other side of the house and on the roof. Thankfully it rolled right off the roof. But it sure had me nervous. It sure does travel far when you give the string a good strong and fast pull.
It is recommended for ages 9 and up; but we found with some direct adult supervision even our 7 year old could manage it. And our almost 9 year old (well; J turns nine in about a week) was a pro at working the Sky Scraper. And our little Jade loved chasing down the propellers and watching them shoot up into the air. We also learned if we pulled the string softer and not as quickly it wouldn’t shoot as high into the air. So when Mommy or Daddy are in control of the Sky Scraper; we can still play with it inside the house.
The Sky Scraper comes with 3 propellers to get the play started. And if you are worried about losing the propellers, no need to fret. Aeromax New World Toys sells additional propellers on their own for only $4.50. The additional propellers come in a pack of 6 and they glow in the dark. Now that is pretty cool.
We had a blast with the Sky Scraper toy from Aeromax. And even after a full week of play and lots of use, it is still going strong! There is hardly any sign of use on the Sky Scraper. Definitely much better than the cheap competitors at the Dollar Store! I would have to say the amount of fun we’ve had is worth the $8.95 price tag.
