Easy Skillet BBQ Chicken Nachos

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Tyson Foods, Inc. The opinions and text are all mine. #AnytizersChickenChips

This Easy Skillet BBQ chicken nachos recipe features the new Tyson® Any’tizers® BBQ Chicken Chips and is loaded with flavor & topped with your favorite nacho toppings! No Tortilla Chips needed. It makes the best appetizer for a party, game day or even a quick family dinner.

Let’s talk food!

What is it about food that really captures a moment?

I think it is because food taps into every single sense we have. Sight, touch, taste, smell, and even sound.

Which is probably why many times our most vivid memories have an element of food involved.

So as we create our memories with our families, it’s important to make the food worthy of such a status.

LOADED BBQ CHICKEN NACHOS WITHOUT TORTILLA CHIPS

Nachos are one of the easiest family meals to make and can also double as the perfect snack or appetizer for any party or game day event!

But due to dental treatments (braces..eek!) some of our kids can’t have the full nacho experience. See, Tortilla chips are a big “No No” for us when doing orthodontic treatments.

But I’ve found a way around that!

My secret ingredient is the new Tyson® Any’tizers® BBQ Chicken Chips! I spotted these the last time I was grocery shopping.

I always keep a few bags of Tyson® Any’tizers® snacks in our freezer for easy snacks/meals because they offer a wide variety of all-white meat chicken in a variety of flavors that make snack and meal time easy on busy nights.

Plus they are made with real, all natural quality NAE chicken (no antibiotics ever), and contain 11 g Protein per serving. And they have 50 chips PER BAG!

As I was looking to restock our supply that’s when I noticed the Tyson® Any’tizers® Chicken Chips.

They come in three different flavors such as BBQ, Ranch, and Cheddar & Sour Cream. Though my Walmart only carries the BBQ and Cheddar & Sour Cream right now. I can’t wait to try out the ranch flavor.

While you are shopping, take advantage of the Walmart Exclusive Ibotta offer for $1 off any one Tyson product!

As soon as I saw the phrase Chicken Chips, I knew immediately how I’d put them to work in our menu.

The image below will give you more info on each variety if you click on it.

I grabbed two bags of the Tyson® Any’tizers® BBQ Chicken Chips and one bag of the Tyson® Any’tizers® Cheddar & Sour Cream Chicken Chips.

Brought them home and started prepping as it was almost lunch time anyway and I had a collection of hungry kids.

It’s incredibly easy to create these loaded BBQ Chicken Skillet nachos!

You’ll want to cook up the chicken in your favorite method. Some prefer the oven, some prefer the microwave.

I personally love tossing these into the air fryer! They turn out perfectly cooked and with a nice crispy outside. Perfect for taking the place of tortilla chips!

While the Chicken Chips are cooking, you can then gather and prep all your toppings for the nachos.

Some of the most popular toppings include:

  • Black beans
  • Corn
  • Pico de Gallo (or fresh salsa)
  • Green Onions
  • Cilantro
  • Black olives
  • Shredded or nacho cheese
  • Sour Cream
  • Guacamole or avocado slices

But the great thing about nachos is that you can customize it to easily fit with your family’s preferences.

Once the BBQ Chicken Chips are cooked to perfection, you can begin to line a small skillet with the chicken chips.

You can also do this just on a plate, or in a cookie sheet, whatever. It will just depend on how much you are making at the time.

Once you have a layer of Chicken chips in place, add some shredded cheese.

Add another layer of chicken chips and top that off with a layer of shredded cheese.

Continue this process until you reach your desired size. My little skillet is the perfect size for making an appetizer for our entire family to share, so I filled it to the top.

You have a few options to do at this point. You can place the skillet in the microwave for a minute or you can place it in the oven on boil. Either works great. You just want the cheese to melt.

Once the cheese is melted, go to town adding all the toppings you prefer.

This time I used

  • Cheese
  • Fresh Salsa
  • Sliced Black olives
  • Chopped Green Onions
  • Sour Cream
  • Guacamole

But you can always adjust for your family’s personal tastes.

Finish it off with an extra Chicken Chip in the top for decoration.

You can also sprinkle a little more cheese on top too if you prefer.

You will want to serve these right away. They are definitely better fresh and warm.

Now just sit back and watch them disappear!

If you are making nachos for one or two people, definitely feel free to use just a small plate.

Or if you have lots of picky eaters, you can give each person their own small plate and have them create their own BBQ Chicken Nachos exactly to their preference.

Grab your own Tyson® Any’tizers® Chicken Chips next time you are at Walmart. And don’t forget the $1 off any one Tyson product Ibotta offer!
