I often feel like Jo in Little Women. My hair is my “one beauty.” I #heartmyhair for sure! I work hard to keep it looking nice. But lately I’ve felt like I do the same old, same old. Get out of the shower and let it air dry. Occasionally I’ll straighten it. I don’t have time for much more. I have little kids. ‘Nuff said.
Well not anymore!
Thanks to Walmart, I can now get great hair everyday in just minutes. Seriously! Minutes!
Great Hair Everyday
I’m going to show you how you can take just a few tools…
…to create all these great styles.
So I can guess what you’re thinking. Minutes? Really? Yes. Really! The first time I tried my Infinity Pro by Conair Curl Secret and Infiniti Pro by Conair 3Q Brushless Motor Dryer, I was literally blown away. I was texting pictures to all my friends and telling my sisters all about it.
My hair has always been allergic to curl. Just a few weeks ago, in fact, I dusted off the old hot curlers, spent 40 minutes rolling all my hair, and walked around with them for two hours. Finally the anticipation got the best of me. I carefully pulled them out…and wanted to cry. Not a single curl worked.
With the Curl Secret, I wanted to cry for a different reason: It’s fast, easy and it works! The Conair Infiniti Pro Curl Secret Curling Iron can provide you with an innovative new way to create gorgeous shiny curls each and every time. This device uses tourmaline-ceramic technology to help reduce the amount of frizz in your hair, leaving you with smooth hair that is soft to the touch. This innovative tool is like nothing you have ever used before for your hair!
First, set your Curl Secret temp (lo or hi) and how long you want the Curl Secret to hold each curl (8, 10 or 12 seconds. Yes, seconds!). The red light will flash, telling you it’s heating.
While that is warming up, section off at least the top half of your hair and secure it to the top of your head.
When the red light is done flashing, it’s ready! Hold out a small section of clean, dry hair. (For looser curls/waves, use bigger sections. For small, tight curls, use smaller sections.)
Hold the Curl Secret as close to the scalp as you want. Press it closed and watch it work.
The Curl Secret uses a magnetic motor to draw the hair in to the chamber where it curls for 8 – 12 seconds. Because each curl is so fast, you can easily curl all your hair in ten minutes, depending on how tight you want your curl.
In these pictures, I wanted small curls, so I curled smaller pieces, and it took me probably 20 minutes.
Let down the top half of your hair and curl using the same technique to curl the rest of your hair. When it’s all done, you’re left with touchably soft, bouncy curls.
Now what? Let’s walk you through the first hairstyle you can do with your gorgeous curls.
Remember how we pinned up the top half of our hair to get it out of the way? We’re going to do something similar. First, pull back a small section of hair on the crown of your head with a bobby pin.
Now pull the other side back. Don’t pull it tight, we want it loose to give it some body and lift.
This is how the back looks with those curls cascading down the back. I did not brush through these curls.
Hairstyle #1: Half up.
It’s fun and cute, and I love it. But maybe I don’t want it down. Maybe I want it up. In that case, simply gather the rest of your hair into a high ponytail and carefully secure with an elastic. Remember, don’t pull this tight. You want those curls loose and bouncy!
The bobby pinned section gives it a flirty little bump on top and those curls are so gorgeous cascading down the back.
Hairstyle #2: Curly Pony
Ok, it’s dang cute. That’s for sure. But I just want a little more. I’m going out tonight with the girls and need to accessorize.
Great! Just add your favorite headband!
Hairstyle #3: Curly Pony with Headband.
Ok, but you went through all that work to have those gorgeous curls. If you want to let the down, you go ahead. Those curls deserve to be free!
Hairstyle #4: Loose Curls with Headband.
PS. While that shot is terribly romantic, it’s not all that great on curls. Snow melts into water, which will naturally release those curls. Just be wary. 🙂
And finally, you’ve curled your hair but think you now somewhat resemble Curly Sue. What now?
Brush through those bad boys! Gently take your paddle brush for a spin through those curls once or twice.
These locks are actually leftover curls from the day before. No joke. I didn’t use hair spray or anything. But I did brush through them once with my paddle brush.
Hairstyle #5: Waves and a headband.
I put a (different) headband over the crown of my head. I took a small section on each side of my head and carefully wrapped the hair around the elastic part of the headband to hide it.
So we just walked through FIVE hairstyles that can be done in minutes.
What did I love about the Curl Secret, you ask?
It heats up fast – in less than a minute.
It uses different easy to understand beep patterns to communicate with you.
The curls take SECONDS to form. No more holding the curling iron with you fingers and waiting waiting waiting…
Your hair will NOT tangle in this. I know it’s stressful to let a 400 degree gadget suck your hair up into it, but trust me. It won’t tangle, it won’t pull, it won’t burn your hair off. If it does get tangled, it automatically releases and gives you a warning beep.
The curls last forever! I’m not allergic to curls anymore!
What I didn’t love:
…Uh, I’ll get back to you on that. 🙂
Here’s one little bit of advice I’d like to impart before we move on. If you want your curls to live a little longer without having to use a ton of hair spray, use your diffuser and blast them with cold air from your blow dryer. It will set the curls so they stay. It really works, I promise! Just make sure you have the diffuser in place before you turn on the air. That way you don’t blow your curls to kingdom come.
Ok, so what do you do if you don’t want curly or wavy hair? Does Conair have a product for you if you just want it soft, straight, shiny and dry?
Why…Yes! They do!
It’s the Ininiti Pro by Conair 3Q Brushless Motor Dryer. Before I tried the 3Q, I thought all blow dryers are created equal.
(Insert sad little giggle) Boy, was I wrong. The Pro 3Q was about the size of my blow dryer. It claims to be quieter, so I had them both running, trying to figure out which one was quieter, but I really couldn’t in that situation. It also says it dries faster than other other blow dryers. So, I tested that out. I blow dried my hair with my old blow dryer, and after 10 minutes, I had to stop because my kids were demanding my attention. My hair was mostly dry, but it was still wet at the base of my hair in the back. This damp parts went wavy, and my hair was pretty poofy. Whenever I blow dry my hair, I have to straighten it after.
The Pro 3Q says it uses ion technology to make your hair less frizzy. Hmm. Let’s try it out and see.
Start with wet hair. Spray a volumizer on the roots, and then make sure you protect your hair with a heat shield.
Make sure you get the Velvet Touch brushes from Conair. I’d had my old brush for way too many years. Let’s just say it was older than my marriage, which is a decade old. It was time for a new one. I love the Velvet Touch paddle brush! It’s big and doesn’t snag in my hair. Plus the handles are so soft! The round brush is equally awesome. The metal barrel holds the heat, helping curl and lift your hair.
Assume the position: pull up the top half of your hair.
Use the flat, paddle brush to straighten your hair. I recently went and had my hair styled. The stylist held the barrel of the blow dryer instead of the handle. I decided to give it a try. It took a little getting used to, but I kind of liked it. 🙂
After the bottom is dry, let down the top and continue to blow dry.
I attached the concentrator and used it with the round brush to curl the ends of my hair.
The result:
Sleek, straight, soft hair.
It wasn’t dry or fried. I didn’t use a straightener. It took me EIGHT minutes to completely dry and less than five minutes to style.
The Pro 3Q was fast. It took less time to get my hair drier than when I used my other blow dryer. It was absolutely quieter! There was no high pitched screech of the motor (because the 3Q also uses magnets). It made my hair soft and sleek. No waves in the back. No fluff, frizz or flyaways. It was a beautiful experience. Seriously. I wish you could feel how soft my hair was!
Thank you to Walmart for carrying such awesome products. Thank you Conair for making them! My hair thanks you as well. I’m never, ever going back to my regular curling iron. And I already gave away my old blow dryer. I’ll never need that again.
What are you doing? Go to Walmart, check out the curling irons and blow dryer aisle.
Once you make it there, find this box:
It’s the only one of it’s kind that has a chamber to hold the hair. And you know what? Everyone I talked to was dying to have one. Wouldn’t this make the best Christmas present? Christmas, birthday, anniversary, Valentine’s, you name it. This is the perfect gift.
It has been so much fun to come out of the bathroom with new looks and to see my husband’s reaction. He’s liking my great hair everyday, too. Thank you, thank you Conair! I #heartmyhair even more now!!
What hairstyle would you do if you had a Curl Secret? Who do you know that would love this as a gift?

Such a comprehensive review. The pictures of the curler were especially explanatory. You should make that into a video
