The Ferris Wheels Cold and Hot Pack natural pain relief.

As I've mentioned before; I suffer from Migraines and carpal tunnel and quite often experience a lot of pain for which I need a great pain reliever! But at the same time; I don't like when I have to constantly take a lot of medication. If I can find a natural way to ease some of my pain I will jump at that chance first; so I've been researching some great alternatives to medication for pain relief! It surprised me that I didn't think about hot packs or cold therapy before now, as that is a rather popular method for first aid treatments!

Ferris Wheels Hot Pack

I was suffering from another bad day with the carpal tunnel pain and wishing I had something to comfort the pain. We have an electric heating pad, but the problem with that is that I have to be tied down to an electrical outlet, the chord is short so I can't even sit on my couch to use it. It can't fully wrap around my arm like I need it to, and usually it gets way too hot even on the lowest setting after just a few short minutes. So heating pads were out, but I still wanted the same hot pack therapy relief; and that is when I stumbled upon The Ferris Wheels.

The Ferris Wheels is a handmade business, meaning each product is made by hand. It began as Sally making heat pads for her mother who suffered from fibromyalgia. It has since expanded to become full of fashionable hot and cold rice packs for all sorts of pain ailments!

Ferris Wheels Office Gift Set Hot Packs

They create all kinds of hot pack sets including neck wraps, thumb wrap, migraine relief sets, and sets specifically for back pain. But seeing as my biggest pain is with carpal tunnel I instantly fell in love with the Office Gift set, specifically designed for those that spend long hours at a computer.

Hot Pack Office Gift Set

The office Gift Set comes with a hot pack specifically designed to fit to cover your eyes, another long pack for your wrists while working on the computer, a pack for your wrist while using a mouse, and a double filled long pack for your neck.

The Ferris Wheels Neck hot pack

The neck wrap has two rows of filled rice. It is wider than the other hot packs and easily rests around the neck. All of the hot packs have an underside that is made out of a softer fabric, which makes for a rather comfortable feel on your skin. And yet they are still quite fashionable.

The Ferris Wheels Eye hot pack

The hot pack designed for your eyes is tailored in such a shape as to easily rest on your face allowing room for your nose to not be covered, yet still apply hot and cold therapy to the sinus regions. It is not only great for after a long day at the computer to rest your eyes from the strain of the computer screen, but works amazing when you have migraines too! I prefer to use this one as a cold pack. I just keep it in the freezer for an hour or two and then apply it at the end of the day for a nice relaxation moment.

Each of the hot packs is well stitched, and as you can see, after over a month of use, not a single stitch has come apart. There are no frayed edges and are very sturdy and durable.

The Ferris Wheels wrist hot pack

The longer wrist hot pack fits perfectly on my little "desk" and is perfect for when I'm online writing articles for JadeLouise Designs. Depending on the pain I am experiencing that day I will use this as either hot or cold and merely lay it on the lap desk. Then I rest my wrists on it as I type. It has been amazing in controlling the pain and it has even allowed me to type longer without immense pain afterwards.

The Ferris Wheels Office hot pack

The smaller wrist rest works perfectly for when I'm using the mouse frequently. I use it the same way I use the larger wrist rest, by heating or cooling the hot pack and then just letting my wrist rest on it while I am working on the computer has again allowed me to work longer hours without the added pain. Besides, don't you think they make my "desk" look so fashionable? Haha

What I have found over the last few months using The Ferris Wheels hot packs is that they have dramatically helped me manage my carpal tunnel pain and they are great for treating migraines as well! Not only that but they are reusable, versatile as they can be used for almost any type of body aches such as

  • muscle pain
  • joint pain
  • bone throbbing
  • migraines
  • carpal tunnel
  • back pain
  • menstrual pain
  • and much more!

Using the Hot packs are very simple as well! If you need a hot therapy, you simply warm up the rice pack in the microwave for a few minutes and it is ready to go! If you need a cold therapy, simply leave the rice pack in the freezer for a few hours and it is ready to ease away your pain. When you use the gift sets, you can even use a mixture of hot and cold, such as the migraine and sinus gift sets. Simply use the neck and eye pack as a cold pack and the foot warmers as hot packs. The cold on the face lessons the blood flow where you are experiencing the pain and the warmth in the feet help draw it away.

I have loved using my Office Gift Set from The Ferris Wheels, and I must say they are quite reasonably priced for the quality you receive, and the fact that they are reusable and so versatile! I will definitely be continuing to use the Hot packs as they have provided such great results, and I absolutely love the fabric choices that The Ferris Wheels offers.

I have a Bed Buddy pain relief hot/cold pack that can be popped in the microwave or the freezer and then laid over achy areas for pain relief. On occasion, it really has been my Bed Buddy. Although it is not nearly as cute as these are. I am loving the designs, colors, and versatility.
