A few weeks ago, I shared my excitement about the idea behind the newest Febreze ™ product. A new Febreze air purifier! And let me tell you I have just loved it! It is an amazing Air Purifier for odor!

So let me just start by saying, I have kept this little Air Purifier for odor next to my desk in the living room. Now, my living room is much bigger than the space is it recommended for. So obviously it won’t handle every single odor. But what I have noticed is a big difference. And seeing as it is a small little unit tackling a task that is over it’s capacity I am quite impressed!

Here is the latest backstory to our adventures with this amazing air purifier for odor! The husband decided he wanted some chicken broth. But not the silly stuff you get in the store. No, he wanted authentic chicken broth like they made in the “olden days”. No fillers. Just straight up boiled chicken bones! He read an article that talked about the health benefits of it. And also noticed that chicken broth you get from the store is not much more than water and chicken flavoring and salt. Not as many health benefits as the old fashioned way.

So we bought a rotisserie Chicken from the store. We ate it for dinner. And then the husband saved the bones and put them in a pan to boil. The trick is you are supposed to boil them for a full 24 hours.

The result was a disaster! I think our first problem was that we used a rotisserie chicken, and not something more fresh that we cooked ourselves. Who knows what kind of junk they used to season that chicken.

But let me tell you the smell was autrocious! You’d think boiling chicken bones to make chicken broth would smell good right? WRONG! It was worse than wet dog smell! And trust me, we know all about wet dog with our sweet little Odin! He adores snow and comes in wet all the time. And that smells! But this was so much worse!

About 1 am, I wake up to the most holy horrific smell! Yeah, it was from the chicken bones boiling. And it permeated the entire house! I gagged the rest of the night. Why I didn’t just get up and turn it off, I don’t know. Probably cause I was thinking the husband would be disappointed with his experiment if I tampered with it.

The following day, the smell was killing me! You know, pregnancy and all; all smells are like 10 times worse!

I realized someone had turned off our little Febreze air purifier. I was not a happy camper. So I immediately turned it back on, on full power!

In about an hour I noticed a huge difference in the odor in our home. About 24 hours later I couldn’t smell the chicken disaster any longer. Thank goodness!

And the added scent cartridge definitely helped a lot too! Not only did it completely removed the boiled chicken bones smell, but it also left a very light and pleasant Febreze scent in it’s place.

So long story short, this little table top Febreze air purifier for odor works amazing! I may have it in an area that is too big for it’s little britches, but it still performs to my amazement. I will most likely be getting the bigger Febreze air purifier model that is designed to work for a larger living space. And then I will move this little one into my son’s room to help him with his asthma and allergies.

But through this entire ordeal I am quite convinced in the effectiveness an air purifier for odor! It worked amazing! And not only does it work great on getting rid of putrid chicken bone broth smells; but it is also great for minimizing dust in the air, air pollutants, pet dander and pet odor!

We have had a lot of air pollution due to the fires that are rampaging across the Western States, plus the usual allergies, dust and pet dander.
