I’m all for easy meals. Especially with kids. And by now, you should have come to an understanding how much we love Tyson chicken. Goodness, we cook with it enough on the blog. The kids love it. And I love how easy it is. Especially when they want something quick and tasty to eat and really don’t want what Mom cooks. It’s a life saver. But while the kids are just fine eating baked Tyson chicken on it’s own with a dipping sauce, sometimes the adults like something a little more…well sophisticated! So I took the adult meal a little further and created a super easy but delicious chicken wrap with a chipotle ranch dressing. And boy was it delicious!
Prepping for the Chicken Wrap creation
The newest addition to the Tyson chicken family are the new Tyson Chicken Fries. And boy were they a huge hit in our family. I found them at Sam’s Club. I haven’t seen them in other stores as of yet. When I went to Sam’s Club, they were suppose to be having a demo of them that day. So that I could try them out to make sure they really were want I wanted. Sadly my Sam’s Club really dropped the ball that day. They didn’t have any demo stations going at all! And I was there for two hours during the lunch hour. Normally they have a lot of stations. They had two that opened up during the time I was there. And they also both closed within 15 minutes of opening. I’m not sure what was up that day. But this was very unusual.
So sadly I didn’t get a chance to try out the new Chicken fries before I bought them. But I had seen them on The MommyHood Chronicles from my friend Melissa. So I knew I still wanted to try them. I picked some up, along with a bunch of other ingredients I would need. You can see it all from my Google + Shopping Album.
Chipotle Ranch Dressing Recipe
You can make the Chipotle Ranch dressing right before. But really it has more flavor if you make it about an hour ahead of time and let it sit in the fridge. This allows all the flavors to mesh well. You will need
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1 teaspoon pickle juice
- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon chili powder (depending on how much of a kick you want)
- 1/2 Tablespoon miracle whip
- 1/2 teaspoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon sugar
You put it all into a bowl and stir well. Once blended, put into a serving dish or condiment bottle and place in the fridge until you are ready to use it.
Chipotle Ranch Chicken Wrap Recipe
What I love is that the Chipotle Ranch Chicken wrap is super easy to make! And I can make the adult meals at the very same time as the kid’s meals! You will need
- Tyson Chicken fries baked to a nice crisp on the outside and warm on the inside.
- Tortilla or Greek Pita flat bread
- Shredded Cheese
- Lettuce
- Chipotle Ranch Dressing
With your chicken baked and the chipotle ranch dressing ready we can begin making the wraps.
Begin with your Greek pita or tortilla. I absolutely love the Greek Pitas from Sam’s Club. I use them for everything from sandwiches, wraps, burritos, cream cheese and salsa crock pot chicken, and even mini pizzas for the kids!
But sometimes you want just a thin tortilla. And that is ok. It works well with a normal tortilla too! I made both to be sure.
Simply begin with some shredded cheese. Place the Tyson Chicken Fries on top.
Then drizzle the Chipotle ranch dressing on the chicken and garnish with lettuce. My husband loves spicy foods, so he is also known to throw in some sliced Jalepenoes at this point as well. And some more hot sauce. He seriously likes the “burn your tongue off” hot level. I’m more of a “I like a kick, but prefer to keep my tastebuds” type gal.
Then simply roll the Greek pita or the tortilla into a wrap. You can wrap it as tight or loose as you want. I always overfill my wraps, so I can only do a loose wrap. I used toothpicks to keep it together too while we ate. Wow they were super helpful.
We topped off the meal with some fresh sliced watermelon and delicious multigrain chips from Sam’s Club. They really completed the meal for a healthy yet quick and easy lunch.
And for the kids, they enjoyed the watermelon along with the Tyson Chicken fries on their own. I tried to convince them to try a wrap. But they just wouldn’t go for it. But they really did love the chicken fries. So that was a big bonus.
The Tyson Chicken fries made our Chipotle ranch chicken wraps super easy to make. It brought a nice change to a typical meal too. Overall, it was a hit and something we will be making again!

This was yummy. Tasted just like a KFC Twister! I had to use chicken strips since my loca grocery store didn't have the fries.
