Adding Variety to Dog's Dinner Time with Natural Dog Food

Our sweet Odin has been part of our family for near 2.5 years now. It’s amazing how quickly time flies. He has grown to be such an integral part of our family. And that even includes dinner time routine!

Things you would never think about before having a dog have now become second nature to us. Things like our daily routine. Get up, let the dog out to go potty. Then go about getting ready for the day. Making sure to take a moment to let the dog back into the house. Then sitting down to breakfast. Oh wait, don’t forget Odin! Gotta feed him too.

At the end of the day, we feed Odin before everyone sits down to dinner. And then cuddle time after dinner while we watch a TV show. He likes to be part of cuddle time and TV time too. Then bedtime. Yep, we can’t forget to tuck Odin into bed.

 

One thing we have noticed with Odin is that he likes food. But more specifically he likes real food. Shortly after Odin joined our family, we switched his dog food to more natural choices. We did this for health reasons. We wanted him healthy, and we noticed he wasn’t doing as well on cheap, GMO filled, highly processed dog food.

After that switch; he really improved. But more than that, he got a liking for the natural foods. Can’t say that I blame him. So now, the more natural the dog food the better with Odin.

And let me tell you, it is quite often we will sit down to dinner and Odin will be right there with us at the table, begging for food. Even though his dog food dish is full of dog food. No, he wants something from our table. And often times he is just bored with the same dog food day after day.

So when we can find a quality dog food that he likes and won’t come begging for table scraps, we know we have found a keeper!

Recently we wanted to switch up the family dinner routine. You know that one where we will fill up his bowl and he ends up under the table asking for scraps anyway.
