DIY Pedicure at home, How to get your feet Summer Ready and showcase your #NaturalBeauty

This post brought to you by Tree Hut. All opinions are 100% mine.

I don’t know about you, but I am often on my feet quite a lot. And by the end of the day, my feet are aching. A great way to release the pain and relax is to give yourself your very own pedicure. You don’t have to be a professional to pamper your feet. You just need the right products, motivation and a little time. I can tell you it is well worth it when you need a little time to relax and make your feet feel better.

How to give yourself a Pedicure at Home

The first and one of my favorite steps is a nice foot soak. You can get a simple plastic dish tub. They aren’t that expensive and there are a lot of uses for the plastic tubs besides just soaking your feet. But I find they are a fantastic size for giving yourself a pedicure at home. Soak your feet in a simple DIY foot bath. You will need

Allow your feet to soak for 10-30 minutes. Or until the water cools.

After I soak my feet I like to use the Tree Hut Exfoliating foot scrub. The Exfoliating foot scrub uses certified organic Shea Butter and cooling Peppermint Oil. Both help to moisturize and revitalize making your sole feel great inside and out.

The Shea butter also helps with skin repairing, anti-aging and promotes elasticity. The Tree Hut exfoliating foot scrub is also made with real sugar and is paraben free with no DMDM.

I love the Exfoliating scrub because it helps to cool and soothe the aches and pains in my tired feet after a long day. And it sluffs off dead skin and my feet feel amazing and smooth afterwards. Not that you really want to see my feet, but just check out that heal! Normally my heals are super dry, cracked and just gross! After a week of giving myself a pedicure at home, my heels are now smooth and soft!

After you exfoliate then you rinse and pat dry and nourish your feet with the Tree Hut foot cream. The foot cream also has the same organic shea butter and cooling peppermint oil. It also uses Aloe Vera for moisturizing features.

After using the Foot cream my feet feel absolutely amazing. They are soft, smooth and fresh. I absolutely love the scent. The peppermint if invigorating yet soothing at the same time. It really calms the pain in my feet as well.

At the end you can finish off with your favorite nail polish. I use one of my favorites, the Mabelline New York Color Show Nail Polish in Gold. It dries super fast. And I mean super fast! And the color is just stunning. Then enjoy your gorgeous and newly pampered feet!

Don’t stop with just a Pedicure!

That takes care of your feet. But I find afterwards my hands tend to feel neglected. I like to finish off with a great hand cream. As much as I am absolutely crazy about the foot cream; when you leave it on your hands, the peppermint oil can trigger sinuses and cause some tearing. It has the most amazing scent, but the peppermint oil is a little strong for a hand cream. Since it frequently passes across your face. Probably why it is meant as a foot cream, instead of a body cream.

So instead I use the Tree Hut Renewing Hand cream. It also uses the Certified Organic Shea Butter for skin repairing & moisturizing, anti-aging, and to promote elasticity. But it also contains Argan & Rose Hip Oil to provide natural anti-aging and healing properties. It has a much lighter texture. In fact after using the foot cream, I almost think it is a little on the runny side. But it works well as a hand lotion.

It is a non-greasy formula that absorbs quickly. Which is a must. I am a super busy mom. I don’t have time to wait for my lotion to soak in. Nor do I like for it to rub off on surfaces I touch. It really does moisturize well and I always feel so pampered after using it. And to top it off, it has the most amazing rose scent!

You know those lotions that have “flower” scents? I hate them! They always smell so fake and engineered to me. But not this one. It actually smells like the real deal! It smells like freshly bloomed roses! It is amazing. I’ve never found a lotion that smells so much like the real flower before. So I am in love!

The Tree Hut products I used can be found at Walmart stores nationwide. Sadly my Walmart is smaller and doesn’t carry them. If that is the case for you as well, I order mine online at Amazon.com. Be sure to like Tree Hut on Facebook and follow Tree Hut on Twitter to discover new products, savings and more.

After I complete my pedicure at home and pamper my hands, I always feel like a new person! Fresh and revived! I feel like I can celebrate my natural beauty! Well, at least I’m not ashamed to wear sandals this summer! And that is super important with the temperatures starting to spike! Speaking of Natural Beauty; I would definitely include Tree Hut products in my collage of Natural Beauty Summer style! These are just a few of the items for my Wish list I’d love to be sporting this summer! You can see their details from my Polyvore Summer style board.

Would love to try the Peppermint and Sugar Foot Scrub. My feet get really dry in the winter and I'm sure this scrub would help a lot.
