Do you struggle coming up with 3 different meals day in and day out? I’m not a fan of spending all day in the kitchen. And when I have a husband that needs to pack a lunch each day for work, the struggle to come up with ideas can be to the point of exhaustion. But that doesn’t change the fact that the husband needs lunch the next day!
I have 2 secrets that make packing the husband’s lunch super simple! Want to know my secrets?
Making Lunch Easy with Leftovers
First: Leftovers!
No, really! It’s so simple! I make a little extra for dinner the night before. And then I portion it out and save it for the husband’s lunch the next day! It’s so simple!
No need to make boring sandwiches. He gets to take a delicious meal to work that is easy to warm up in the microwave. And all the guys at the office are a little envious at the wonderful meals he brings in!
The second secret: Reynolds™ Disposable Heat & Eat containers! These are so simple! And yet it makes it so much easier on me!
I was at Walmart the other day getting more trash bags for our kitchen when I noticed a new item on the shelf next to the Reynolds™ Aluminum foil.
Being a fan of Reynolds™ items, I looked closer and I loved what I saw! Reynolds™ Disposable Heat & Eat containers!
They are so simple to use. Just put your leftovers into the container and put into the fridge. Take to work. And then remove the lid and heat in the microwave. Eat and toss the rest into the trash!
No need to wash smelly dishes after they come home. The lid stays on tight so we don’t have to worry about spills or messes.
The Reynolds™ Disposable Heat & Eat containers are made from plant fibers and are a great alternative to plastic.
So last night, I mixed up a large batch of our Mexican Rice as it’s a family favorite.
Plus it heats up so well the next day that it makes great leftovers.
So after I got it cooked, I portioned out a bit for the husband’s lunch.
He was pretty excited to have his lunch all packed. And it being a dish that he really enjoys too!
And that is how I make lunch for the husband easy! Delicious leftovers from dinner packed for lunch the next day!
