This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Toys“R“Us. All opinions are 100% mine.
When I was a kid, we wrote a Christmas list and mailed it to Santa. My kids are getting older, and they like to write letters to Santa, but they honestly don’t really know what they’re looking for. We don’t have TV in the traditional sense. We have streaming and movies. And while I love not watching commercials, it makes my kids draw a blank. And therefore, it makes it a little tougher for “Santa” to know what they want.
This year I got smarter. I got the Great Big Toys“R”Us Book of Awesome. I sat my kids down and let them look through the holiday catalog to gather ideas for Cyber Week!
They had SO much fun flipping through the pages and exclaiming, “I want that! Ooh, look at that!” It was so fun to watch them because they each knew what the other would want and took turns pointing out not only what they would enjoy, but what their sibling would like as well.
And for toys are games that were above or below their age range, they pointed out which toys would be good for their baby cousins or their more mature cousins and friends. That made my heart happy to see them thinking of others!
After the excitement simmered down, they got serious and contemplative. They started looking at prices and talking budgets. Both of their birthdays are in the winter, and they get birthday money from Grandma and Grandpa, so they were looking for not only Christmas gifts, but what they could afford themselves for their birthdays.
For example, my seven year old son LOVES science. He loves science kits and science experiments.
He was so excited about the EduScience Experimentation Station.
It’s only available at Toys“R”Us!
My daughter is a girly girl, so she was gah gah over the ShopKins.
And both of them were shouting over how cool the Pie Face Showdown would be to play!
For me, I was excited to see the sales prices on the kids’ tablets and smart watches. We live in a world of technology, and I love it when it’s affordable!
While flipping through the Big Book, I discovered that Toys“R”Us has a new way for us to keep track of the things that the kids have put on their wish list.
There’s an actual Wish List app that lets you create an account, snap a picture of any toy in the Big Book, and the app will automatically add it to their wish list! Then you can have it handy while you shop. Awesome!
I enjoy a good Black Friday sale. It’s exciting to get great deals! This year, however, I was on the road to visit my sisters, whom I hadn’t seen in a very long time. One sister I haven’t seen in almost two years! I missed every single Black Friday sale. Bummer.
But thank goodness for Cyber Week!! Now, I can Find deals from the comfort of my living room (and in my pjs!). I can snag all the things I need to make this Christmas magical.
You can catch all the deals I mentioned, and hundreds of more! Just Shop Now!
