Get a Clean House with One Tool!

Thank you so much to Reliable for helping me get my floors under control!

I spend 99% of my time in my house. So, naturally, I like it to be a clean house so I don’t go crazy looking at clutter and dirt all the time. (This is not always achieved, just desired.)

This summer, what started out as the average rainstorm turned into a freak tragedy, flooding over 30 homes in our neighborhood with raw sewage. Because of the location of our house, we had the most raw sewage in our basement.

Flooded basement

Isn’t that nice?

Because it was raw sewage, it was unsafe for our kids to be in our home. They spent several days at different family members’ houses until the restoration crew was able to come and sanitize the basement and upstairs carpet. I got to the point where I had “safe zones” in my house. Places I knew we didn’t walk with our dirty feet. Those places were the bedrooms and the bathroom. That’s it. The rest of my house was unsafe. My sister-in-law had a stroke of brilliance and brought over her steam mop.

She sanitized my entire kitchen floor, giving me yet another safe zone, and bringing us one step closer to bringing our kids home.

Since then, I have thought how handy it would be to have a steam mop. I was so excited to get my new Steamboy Pro T3 from Reliable! If you’re sitting there thinking, “But I already have a mop, and it does fine.” You’re not alone. I kind of thought the same thing. Why have another gadget in the house? Why indeed.

The Steamboy Pro does it all. Clean smarter, not harder.

As I read through the features and the instructions, I got more and more excited! It was easy to put together. My kids “helped” me click everything in place.

It’s super easy to use. Plug it in, turn it on, wait for the green light, and go!

It’s 3 in 1, so it cleans sealed floors, scrubs tile and grout, and has a carpet glide so you can sanitize carpet! There are 2 microfiber pads that are washable, cutting down on waste and saving you money! You don’t use any chemicals, at all. You use straight up water and the power of steam. Clean up a wet spill or use the steam to scrub away an old one. (Read on to see how I did just that!)

Ok, now this is cool.

But when would you ever need to use a steam mop? You personally. Well…Have you ever had a dog drag his rump across your carpet? Have you ever had a child puke in your kitchen? Or poop on the floor in the bathroom? Have you ever had a fish tank filter throw a tantrum and pour gallons of dirty fish water all over your floor? No? That one’s all me, huh?

Is anyone in your home sensitive or allergic to harsh chemicals? Has anyone in your home ever had the flu? Or spilled anything on your kitchen or dining room floor? Ever? Do you like clean floors?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you need a Steamboy Pro T3! It’s tough enough for hard jobs, yet easy enough for every day cleaning.

Let me give you just one example of how awesome this guy is. Our bathroom has old grody floors. We just deal with it. But, because they’re old and defective, we get these strange and irritating black stains all over. There’s a defect in the flooring, and for some reason we can’t get the smudges out. No chemical will touch it. A certain eraser with magical properties did nothing. We’ve soaked and scrubbed and begged and pleaded.

And then we got the Steamboy.

Before and After Steam Mop

Wow. Isn’t that mountains better? There are still a few little troubled areas I’m going to continue working on. But wow! I couldn’t believe my eyes. Those black stains have been our constant companion for years, and we’re finally parting ways. (I actually didn’t use the scrubber, just the regular cleaning pad. Guess what I’m going to go do?)

Head over to Reliable and check out some of the other features I didn’t get to. Watch their fun little videos and see how easy it is to use the Steamboy.

Raw sewage??? Oh how awful, I don't know how I'd handle that!! My favorite tip from now on would be to use this Steamboy - looks like it took care of the job!

What a blessing to find something that works so well. How does it work with dog hair on flooring?

I learned a trick this summer for cleaning grout the easy way. Buy some Oxy powder and mix 3 parts with one part water (makes it pasty), and put it on the grout and let it sit for 30 minutes. It does the job and all you have to do is clean up the paste (no scrubbing!).

It's about time to upgrade our steam mop, we use it almost weekly. I especially love the angled head (for corners and targeted treatment) on this one. Just another thing to add to the holiday wish list!

OMG! I cannot imagine raw sewage backed up into the house. That must have smelled HORRIBLE! So gross! That Steamboy must be pretty amazing to get that cleaned up!
