Ah. Summer. I recently returned from a week-long family reunion in St. George, UT. While we were there, it was on average 104 degrees. Every single day. And it was the middle of June! You know it’s only going to get hotter over the next 6 weeks before temps peak and then plateau, eventually cooling just a bit.
While we were there, we visited a lot of National Parks in the area and historical sites and monuments. To do that, you have to be outside. You know, in the 104 degree weather.
How did I stay cool? I’ll let you in on a little secret: dresses and skirts! They’re comfortable, free flowing, and cool. They look nice and keep my legs free yet shaded.
The Audrey dress from Karina Dresses is the perfect summer dress! It has an enchanting crossed front and matching back.
The hem goes below my knees, making the skirt long enough to be comfortable, yet short enough to be cool and breezy.
And this was totally unintentional, but the fabric is red, white and blue. Three guesses what I’ll be wearing on the fourth of July?! (Look! I even paired it with simple blue canvas flats!)
