This last week, we went on a family vacation to Utah. I will be sharing a lot of the fun stuff we did there in the next few weeks. But let me tell you, one of the best things I did was plan for some downtime in the hotel with some simple travel crafts. I’m telling you this allowed us to relax but still do something fun and creative. And best of all, the kids got to use their creativity. The best travel craft for us is the new Text-UR Foam 3D kits.
Selecting the Best travel crafts
Why do I think the Text-UR Foam 3D kits are the best travel crafts for kids? Very simple, everything you need for the kids craft activity is included! I don’t have to pack anything extra! And it is super easy for the kids to create a fun textured foam craft with very little mess! No scissors, No glue and no beads or string to get tangled or worse…lost!
Text-UR® Foam from Fibre-Craft is the new craft item that brings craft foam to a whole new dimension. You’ll literally feel the fun by combining interesting textures with an added 3D element to make craft projects stand up and stand out!
Each kit is priced from $2.99 to $8.99, so even kids on a budget can relish the art of making something with their hands! You simply use the 3D space-urs™, which are peel and stick, stackable squares included in most text-UR Foam products to create an instant wow effect and make ordinary arts & crafts projects extraordinary.
When you are traveling you need a project that will keep the kids entertained, but also can be kept minimal so you don’t have a lot to pack. The Text-UR Foam 3D kits take up very little room in the luggage. And I don’t have to pack any additional craft supplies. It was absolutely perfect for our vacation last week.
The last day of our vacation we ended up rained out of one of our activities. This meant we were back in our hotel. Our internet was out and so was the cable. So you tell me…what do you do in a hotel room with three little kids and no internet, no TV and no swimming pool? I’m telling you these Text-UR Foam 3D kits were our salvation this afternoon!
I pulled the kits out and each kid picked their own project. And then I let them loose. I had to help Jade as she is still not quite able to follow directions as needed for her adorable picture frame. But other kids of her age shouldn’t have much problem following a parent’s guiding instructions for these fun crafts.
My boys had a blast following the directions on their own. They thought it was so cool that they were creating a 3D craft. I think that part was the best for them. And I loved how simple these crafts were.
I didn’t have a little kid throw a fit because they were frustrated with the difficulty. All they had to do was peel and stick each piece together. No cutting. No gluing. Seriously I love the peel and stick! And soon we had three adorable travel crafts completed and three very happy little kids.
The only mess we had to clean up was the little pieces of paper from peeling off of the spacer pieces and the packaging each craft came in. So clean up was super easy too! Depending on which Text-UR Foam 3D kit you pick, your kids could even complete these in the car while traveling. Making them the ultimate travel craft! It’s a great way to pass the time. And they turn out so adorable!
