The weather is slowly approaching the end of the warm season. But that doesn’t mean we have to give up all together and miss out on beautiful days outside. While in most areas we can’t go out to the pool or play in the sprinklers due to the drop in temperature; there are still quite a few things we can do to enjoy a bit of great outdoor fresh air and family time! Try one of our Top Autumn Outdoor family activities to get that fresh air and family time in before the snows come!
Best Autumn outdoor Family activities
- Go for a walk
- A day at the park
- Take a hike
- Play in the leaves
- Visit a pumpkin patch, Corn maze, or Straw maze
- Have a family cookout!
One of our favorite things is grilled food! No joke. I will grill all year long. Even in the middle of a snow storm I will grill! Though it is much more enjoyable in the warmer weather. Autumn is a great time to get in the last bits of grilling before the weather turns cold! And a great way to enjoy some outside time with the family.
Don’t grill and hide out inside! Spend the time outside with a little family picnic! Set up the Little Tikes Picnic Table and the Little Tikes Cook ‘n Play Outdoor BBQ!
One of the hardest things with little kids and outside grilling is that my kids love to help! And while I love them helping, they are still a little young to be grilling on their own. So my best solution is the outdoor grill from Little Tikes! It gives them a great place to play and pretend like they are helping mommy cook while at the same time they are safe away from the hot grill!
Plus it also gives a way to keep them entertained while dinner is cooking instead of the constant “I’m Hungry! When is it going to be ready?” Nope, now I can say, “go play with your grill and we’ll see who makes the better dinner!” And it works!
They are grilling, and I’m grilling, it’s a grilling party!
Not to mention I love the outlet for imagination play. As Jade’s therapists call it, “Play Therapy”. Where you use normal play toys and incorporate it into the speech therapy. There is a lot of therapy you can do with one simple Little Tikes Cook ‘N Play Outdoor Grill! You can talk about colors, sizes, hot, cold, and talk about each and every step in the process of playing like you are grilling food! And a lot of options to get the child to work on talking themselves!
My kids love the Little Tikes outdoor grill and so do I! It includes everything the kids need to have an afternoon of fun with imagination play. The play food set includes a hamburger, hot dog and grill utensils. And it stands well outside and can easily be brought inside when the weather turns bad!
And don’t worry about those stickers! Most stickers on products are so easy to remove and never last. Well, that’s not the case here. These are a heavy duty sticker. It’s almost like a duct tape sticker! I’ve never seen a sticker of this quality before. You don’t have to worry about the kids pulling them off or them wearing off either. Once they are on, they are ON! So be sure as you are putting them on that you have them in the right place. Cause they don’t come off if you mess up.
After the meal is all cooked they can enjoy their meal on their little picnic table one last time before the snow falls and sends us all back inside again. So wrap up in a sweater or jacket and get your family outside for the last few outdoor memories of the year!
