Just a few weeks ago, the Husband and I celebrated our 11 year anniversary. But since he was away on an internship, we decided we would travel down to Salt Lake City to be with him for our anniversary. So the kids and I packed up and we stole the husband away from work so we could enjoy a few days of fun for a much needed family vacation. The night before our 11 year anniversary we were lucky enough to dine at the amazing Rodizio Grill Brazilian Steakhouse. If you are looking for luxury cuisine, this is the place for you!
Celebrating 11 years at Rodizio Grill Brazilian Steakhouse
I have wanted to visit the Rodizio Grill Brazilian Steakhouse for many years! My Brother lived in Brazil for a few years and when he returned, he discovered the amazing dining at Rodizio Grill. But I’ve never had an opportunity to visit before now. So I have been yearning to dine at Rodizio Grill for many years! And I was not disappointed. It was absolutely amazing!
Let me explain a little about Rodizio grill Brazilian Steakhouse. There are a few different locations, and we visited the one in the Trolley Square in Salt Lake City. Rodizio Grill is an all you can eat experience like no other. First off, they have a great salad bar that includes not only salads, but also a soup and semi-pasta bar. But we didn’t load up on this. We had a few treats from the bars, but we wanted to save room for the main event.
They also have amazing Appetizers! Oh my goodness they are amazing! This included Pão de Queijo, Polenta and Banana Frita! I didn’t click my camera fast enough to capture all of the appetizers. They disappeared rather quickly! Honestly I can’t say which was my favorite. Each bite had me saying, “Oh my goodness!!”
And frankly you can’t visit a Brazilian Steakhouse without sampling the amazing drinks! Seriously you have to try these! I tried out the Bahia Breeze, which is an amazing blend of pineapple, limes, mint and a creamy and sweet milk base. It was amazing. There are other drinks you can get as well, as well as customizing your own Rodizio Limeades.
Now with the gourmet salad bar, appetizers and my drink arrived, it is time to start the authentic experience of a Brazilian Steakhouse. Let me introduce to you the magic signal. OK, so I just can’t remember what they called it. But it’s this awesome hourglass looking marker you place on your table. When you are ready for food to be brought around, you flip it to the green. When you need them to stop coming to your table with food you flip to the red. When you are finished and need your dessert or check, you lay it down flat. Really it is quite brilliant!
As you have your magic token showing green, Brazilian Gauchos bring a variety of skewered, rotisserie-grilled meats right to your table. They ask if you would like any and then they carve it off right there! The portions of each item brought to your table is actually rather small. So At first I was thinking, “wow, this will take forever to get fed and full.” Boy was I WRONG! (I know, me wrong? I couldn’t believe it either! This never happens. Haha!)
Even though each portion of skewered meats were small, the Brazilian Gauchos came fast! And before we knew it we couldn’t keep up and we had to flip the magic token to the red side. The husband and I both loved a lot of the same meats, but some we disagreed on. But we all agreed the Grilled pineapple was out of this world!
Rodizio Grill Brazilian Steakhouse features over a dozen rotisserie grilled meats. From varieties of beef, chicken, pork, lamb and seafood. And of course amazing fruits and vegetables like the grilled Pineapple [Abacaxi (Ah-bakah-shee)] and Tomate Grelhado Com Parmesão (Toe-mach-e Grel-yah-do Com Parm-eh-zahn) Grilled Tomatoes with Parmesan Cheese. This one was another of the Husband’s favorites.
And to make the evening more amazing, even our kids loved the entire evening. They loved the Linguiça (A very mild and flavorful Brazilian sausage) and had to have seconds and thirds of just that one meat alone! Let alone the other meats.
Overall our experience was absolutely amazing! The restaurant was clean, and a very inviting atmosphere. At first it looked quite classy and we felt a little under dressed. I mean it is a high quality restaurant and we saw many people entertaining in business attire. But yet, there were also a lot of guests in casual attire. It doesn’t matter if you prefer to be casual. You will still have a great experience and are served with respect and friendly service!
Our main waiter Mynor paid special attention to every need we had. Our drinks never got below half empty! They were quick on refilling and we never had to wait for something to eat. And to top off our experience even Bruno, who we think is an assistant manager, even visited our table to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Everyone was amazingly friendly. I mean it felt like we were surrounded by old friends. We could joke, laugh and visit. Everyone was nice. Everyone was happy. Everyone was friendly. I’m telling you this is a Brazilian Steakhouse that knows quality customer service.
At the end of the night, after we returned to our hotel we were still smiling about the amazing experience and food we had just enjoyed at Rodizio Grill Brazilian Steakhouse! The food was amazing and left us saying, “AMAZING” after each bite. Even waiting for years for my opportunity to visit Rodizio Grill Brazilian Steakhouse, I am not disappointed one bit. It was well worth the wait, and if we ever get the opportunity to visit again, we definitely would!
