Have you ever wished you had a hands free flashlight? Oh, I do all the time! I try to look for something in dark corners, or in the back of the van and I just can’t see! But I need both hands to reach for the thing I’m looking for. Did you know they actually have hands free flashlights? Often they are called work headlights or beam headlights.
Finding quality beam headlights for our family
We have a big camping trip coming up in July. We disappear for a full week into the boondocks of the Idaho/Wyoming! I’ve been working on making our camping checklist for this year. And naturally you take work flashlights on a camping trip.
I was at Walmart looking at all the great camping gear when I came across the new Energizer beam headlights. There were other brands for sale at our Walmart. But Energizer is a brand we know and trust. I have tried other brands of batteries, but nothing lasts as long. Remember those old Energizer Bunny commercials?
Well they don’t last quite as long as the commercials play it up, but still much longer than any other brand I’ve tried. So I pretty much assume the same quality follows along with other energizer products such as their beam headlights. I just don’t think any other brand that is inferior in battery power could produce a beam headlight that meets the quality that I know and trust Energizer to have.
They had three different kinds of beam headlights too! And each one had some really cool features that made it perfect for each member in our family. Check out my Google+ Shopping Album to see the differences of each one.
I’m wasn’t surprised to find the beam headlights in the camping supplies. Because obviously they are great for camping. That is just a given. I picked up four of them. Two small ones for the boys and one for the husband and one for myself. I love that the bigger ones have the rotating headlight, and they all have a soft back so it doesn’t cause any skin irritation while wearing them.
Why so many? Well yes, they are awesome for camping. But did you know that there are so many everyday uses for the Energizer beam headlights? Meaning things you can use them for in your home, just about every day! No need to go camping! They have been a life saver in our house! Check out all these awesome ideas of how you can use the Energizer Headlights for every day use!
Everyday Uses of the Energizer Headlights.
One of my favorite uses of the Energizer beam headlights is using it in our storage areas. We have a nice small storage space underneath our stairs. But we don’t have a light in it. None, at all! So often I am struggling to balance a flashlight and pick something out or put a new box in. It just doesn’t work well at all!
I now use the Energizer beam headlights anytime I need something from this storage space because I can now see in the small space and find what I’m looking for. Or know where best to put the new storage box.
We also have a cat that LOVES to sneak into the boy’s rooms and hide under their bed. But at night the boys sleep with their doors close. Which is not a good thing for a cat that needs access to his liter box. So we always have to look for the cat under the beds each night before we put the boys to bed.
Again, the Energizer beam headlights makes this super easy. Because then I have my hands free to reach under and grab the sneaky little cat to get him out. If I actually find him under the bed that is. I was lucky last night, he wasn’t even there! But it was helpful to have the beam headlights to help me find him.
I also use the Energizer beam headlights when I doing crafts. Especially when I’m working with beads. Or crocheting something petite and delicate. Sometimes the stitching is so small and the lighting in my house just isn’t good enough. So I need that extra boost of light right where I need it so I can see the small stitches. It works amazing!
The Husband likes to use the Energizer beam headlights for a lot of different uses. But a major one is using it while he is working on the cars! Seriously, have you ever tried to do a little mechanical work and ever had enough light? The Energizer beam headlights are awesome for helping him see into the dark areas for what he is looking for. I also like to use it when I’m refilling the fluids in the car before each trip.
The kids all love the Energizer beam headlights as well. For them, they are just fun to wear and be silly. Jade just loves to put one on and wear it around the house. Just for fun.
But the boys also have practical uses for using them too. Like looking for a toy at the bottom of the toy box. Or sneaking in a bit more reading at night. Jonathan absolutely loves using his energizer headlight for bedtime reading. Before he kept trying to hold a flashlight and his book at the same time. He said it was always hard. He loves how he now has his hands free to hold the book and turn pages.
And all those are just our favorite uses of the Energizer beam headlights in our house. But I’m not going to stop there. I knew there were so many more uses for these amazing headlights! So I asked all of our fans on JadeLouise Designs’ Facebook for ideas of how they would use Energizer beam headlights! I loved their answers! I have the most brilliant fans!
