Every women needs a ladies night out every once in a while. Besides the traditional hanging with friends; one of the best things you can do is treat yourself and friends to a spa party. But going to a traditional spa can be pricey, so why not make your own ladies night out spa party in your own home! We are going to show you how to have a great spa party, with gift bags, great food and lots of relaxing!
Supplies needed for Ladies Night Out Spa Party
When you are gathering supplies, one of the best places to start is Sam’s Club. I always find great deals on pampering supplies, food, and luxuries. I tend to find items in larger quantities for a much better price than buying each item separately at regular stores.
For a Ladies Night out Spa party, you need pampering supplies, like NIVEA Lotion. Honestly; what would a spa party be without lotion? I found a great deal on the double pack of NIVEA lotion. When needing to buy multiple bottles of lotion; this is definitely the way to save money!
I found a lot of stuff at Sam’s Club to prepare for our party. But I was still sad to find that many items I expected to find at Sam’s club weren’t there; like the NIVEA lip balm, NIVEA shampoo and conditioner, and even nail polish packs.
Other supplies you will want to gather while you are shopping are not only things to put into your Spa party gift bags, but also food staple items. Since it’s a spa night and all about wellness; you want to include healthy option foods. We got fruits, vegetables, dip, water, and juice. And then of course the one not so good treat; chocolate. Honestly you can’t have a Ladies night out without chocolate! We found a great value of bags of chocolate at Sam’s Club. Enough for the party and to share with my family afterwards, so they wouldn’t feel so bad about being booted out during the Ladies night out party.

Preparing for Ladies Night out Spa Party
Once you have everything you need for the Ladies night out spa party, you then need to prepare. A spa party needs to have a calm environment. Meaning, NO KIDS! Now I’m a big proponent for family activities and spending time with the family and kids. But sometimes a woman needs that break to recharge. You can’t very well relax when you are chasing a toddler around. So plan your party for a time when your kids are else where, and ask your guests to find arrangements for their children too. The exception for this would be a new baby that might need feeding. Since newer babies tend to just sleep and eat; they don’t cause too much distraction. Plus a breastfeeding mom can still be pampered while she’s feeding her baby.
Sometimes limiting kids from attending will limit some of your guests. I had 3 guest have to pull out last minute. Two of which were because of husbands working late and they couldn’t come without the kids. I really missed having them at my party; but the idea of relaxing needs to be kid free.
Now it’s the day of the party. Make sure you have a clean and comfortable place for your guests to enjoy the pampering party. Another important factor is to have soft, relaxing music playing in the background. I love The Piano Guys and their newest album was a huge hit at our Ladies night out spa party.
You should also have a great smelling home and soft lighting. It really is best if you can make the party for night so you can get that soft lighting, but for me the afternoon was the only time I could gather my friends without having kids running around. But it can still work. Candles are a great way to add lighting atmosphere and scent. A Scentsy warmer or other candle warmer is another great way to add scent but without an open flame.
Now to prepare the display table! If you have room, you can separate the food from the gift bags; but I only had one table so they all went together. You want to have healthy food options and of course Chocolate. Really, you are pampering yourself; you have to have chocolate!
But for other food choices have a vegetable tray, easy dip, crackers and dip, water to drink or a homemade sparkling juice. Fruit salads are a great choice too. My favorite is a very simple fruit salad. It takes very little time to make and everyone raves over how delicious it is!
Gift Bag ideas for ladies night out spa party
Part of the fun of a Ladies night out spa party is sending your guests home with the means to make their own personal spa moment at home when they are in need. So I got enough supplies to go into a gift bag that each lady can take home. Included are:
- NIVEA Lotion
- Hand massager
- Nail polish
- Nail file
- Lip balm or chap stick
- Homemade detox bath salts
I wasn’t able to find them, but more great ideas would be spa socks, or hand mittens for a manicure and those silly things that spread your toes out while you paint your toe nails.
Activities for a Ladies Night Out spa party
This aspect can get rather elaborate or you can keep it simple. for elaborate you can
- hire a massage expert to come into your home and give the ladies private massages.
- have individual stations where a different spa event takes place such as nail station, foot station, facial station, massage station
- offer multiple services during the party
- have a dinner, then spa services.
I opted to go simple. Less stress and chaos means a more relaxing time for me and the guests. I may be the host but I’m looking forward to some relaxing time with the girl friends too! So we had the table of food, gift bags for each guest, and we had the atmosphere.
I had each guest bring their own foot tub and towel. We filled our foot tubs with warm to hot water letting each guest select the temperature of their choice. Then we piled our plates with the food and settled in our converted spa room to soak our feet in the foot tub with the homemade bath salts.
I made a fresh batch of the bath salts without any essential oils, so each guest could choose their own mixture of essential oils. It was quite relaxing.
Then we all sat and enjoyed the spa food while our feet soaked and relaxed and enjoyed the company. We just talked and laughed and relaxed.
After the food was gone and the feet were soaked; then I made a foot scrub paste out of baking soda and water. We used this to exfoliate our feet and hands.
To add to the luxury; we then applied the NIVEA lotion to both our hands and feet and topped off with painting our nails.
The NIVEA lotion was the perfect top off to the Spa party. After relaxing; you want your skin to feel nice, soft and smooth. And protected against dryness. Living in Idaho; we get a lot of dry windy weather and with the cold comes even more dry winter weather that really does a number on our skin. The NIVEA lotion soothed and smoothed our skin making it feel silky soft. It’s also nice because it absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave us feeling greasy and it smells great. All the ladies loved that I had a full bottle for them to take home with them in their gift bags. That is a way to bring a smile to someone’s face!
Sharing your Ladies Night Out Spa Party for the Holidays.
With the upcoming Holidays, we women need a moment to relax and unwind more than ever. And maybe you won’t have the time to get together for a full Ladies night out; with all the hustle and bustle of the Holidays and traveling. But that doesn’t mean you still can’t spoil those special women in your life. Making a Ladies night out Spa party bag is a great Holiday Gift idea!
Take everything we included in our Spa party bags above, especially the NIVEA lotion, and use that as your gift this year. It will mean more than a traditional gift purchased at the mass market store.
